urc-8910b02 Battery drains often -Any cures?

Post by jojopuppyfish »

I have a urc-8910b02 remote and wanted to know if there was a way to prevent the battery from draining quickly on a regular basis?
Any help would be appreciated

How fast are they dying? The batteries in my 8910 typically last 9 months until the battery indicator starts to display, but I can still get another month or so before it starts to get too weak. I typically use fresh Ray-O-Vac alkalines.

Maybe your rechargeable batteries you're using are on its last legs. Have you tried using non-rechargeables or a brand new completely charged rechargeable batteries?

Rechargeables work fine in the 8910 but since they start at about 1.2V each instead of >=1.5V for non-rechargeables then they drop below acceptable operating voltage sooner.
