urc-4393

The one I have that is labeled urc-4393 does look VERY similar to the millenium 4. But it has a few missing buttons here, a few extra there. Is it possible to modify the rdf file to work with this one?

I have managed to figure out how to program it to control a JVC tv and VCR (0053 & 0067) and a ...

RM useful?

Would that Java thing (Remote Master?) be of any use?

The one labeled URC-4394 has numbers that are in the shape of the number. The 1 looks like a 1, the 2 like a 2 and so on. It also has a sliding door at the bottom that conceals the transport buttons (6 of them plus a tv/vcr button). It appears ...

Charter remotes JP1s?

I found some Charter remotes at a surplus place for a buck each. They both have JP1 connectors in the battery compartment. There are some stickers in there as well with URC numbers:

URC-4393B00
URC-2910B01

Are these useable as JP1 remotes?

I can use this handy feature on the RS 15-2107 by hitting the recessed "P" key twice. The LCD shows "SHIFT". When you hit the third digit the red "I'm sending something to somebody LED illuminates".

How do I use this on the 9960? <muffled sound of frustrated user tryin' stuff> Oh ... the 9960 wants ...

This feature seems to work on my RS 15-2107. 103 is the forward/+ key and 107 is the back/- key for the menus. This thing is now unscrewed!!!

Should this very useful feature work on the newer URC-9960B01?

What do you mean by this:

I would test the following EFCs directly from the Keypad (Make RCVR/0176 your active device, and press set-X-Y-Z) to see if any of them work

RS 15-2107 8-in-one touch remote

Hi,

I forgot to ask:

If you push the program button twice the LCD display shows "SHIFT". Anyone know what this thing is doing?

And why does the lower left button say "mode\nshift"?

RS 15-2107 8-in-one touch remote

This is a Radio Shack LCD touch panel remote. It has a 6 pin connector under the battery door that has what looks like "JP1" stenciled on the circuit board below it (hard to tell - it is partially obscured by the case).

Is this a JP1 remote? If so is it to old to be useful?

If you buy any kind of ...
