Thanks CAPN TRIPS. Even if we could do option 2 then that would be great.

No wonder there is nothing out there as far as device upgrades for Coby TV's....

Thanks for the suggestion. I have "learned" the commands and started to create the upgrade but have a question.

Should all of the learned commands use the same device and sub-device?

They are all different. So does that mean that I won't be able to put them all in the same upgrade?

Thanks ...

Need help with Coby LCD TV

Looking to be able to use my OFA 9910 for my Coby LCD TV. I have not done any JP1 stuff in a while but I imagine I could normally just "learn" the needed commands but I am using an extender so I believe that option is not available.

1. Device: Coby LCD TV
2. Type of device: LCD TV
3. Year: 2007

Re: Kludge instead of DSM

I assume you're not using an extender. This sort of thing is much simpler with an extender.

The basic feature you want is called DSM (device specific macro).

I don't recall whether there is a DSM protocol for the 9910 without extender. But even if there is, DSM is rather tricky to set up without ...

Probably a really dumb question...

Ok, I programmed my 9910 last year using IR and have got a little rusty (not that I was exactly an expert before...).

But, is there any way in IR to have a button (the Guide button) programmed to execute the guide command twice each time it is pressed but ONLY when using the CBL device.

In other ...

There are 21 functions set but 2 of them are repeats.

The ch up and ch down are repeats of later fuctions. If I remember from when I looked at it. they where also x and y.

I see. Here is the file with all of the learned commands:

Thanks for all of your help. I have everything working now.

I uploaded the RM file that I created - XBOX_360 Final
It may have some of the missing functions that you were asking about.

Here is rm file This one has 19 of the functions. Whatever was learned on L1 in the first learn is labeled NOT SURE. I think the file is still missing 3 functions.

Oh yeah Capn he wasnt asking me to do it for him. I asked him to learn the functions so I could. I was hearing a lot of mess about ...

Are you actually USING Keymap Master or Remote Master? I mean in the sense of BUILDING and/or MANIPULATING your upgrade files? Or are you simply opening and changing the remote on the setup worksheet and then copying it into IR? I get the sense taht you are still not REALLY using these tools to ...

For John Fine, the learned signals are here.

I've looked at both of your uploaded IR files HERE and HERE . I'm not smart enough to figure out what all of your device upgrades and protocol upgrades are supposed to do, (useful tip: Use all of the "notes" capabilities within the various programs. It ...

Thanks! I am having trouble figuring out what protocols/devices that I can get rid of to make room. I'll post back when I get it straightened out.
Before you start to worry about what you can delete to make room for the upgrade, you should first confirm that it actually works.

I just took a look ...

Are those learned signals somewhere accesible from this thread? Or did you send/get them via email?

I've been a bit surprised at how slowly info about the XBOX 360 IR protocol has appeared in various IR forums.

I still think I might win the battle and keep any XBOX from ever getting into my own ...
