I can't remember what "soft Keys" are? are those the phantom keys that don't exist on the remote or the were they "activity" buttons like "Watch TV"?
I made a phantom device to add odd buttons to. And I used the scrollable devices to make "activities" Watch TV, Movie, MythTV etc. Scroll to what you ...

I bought a Sofabaton U1... and it could be better
I bought a Sofabaton U1 on sale for $40 after my remote took a swim. I know this remote is not supported, heck no one is even mentioned it on the forum.
My review on the U1 after owning about 6 JP1 remotes.
It's programing is done over bluetooth with an app. As long as your device is supported it ...

Those look like what I was thinking of. Unfortunately I have since gotten myself elbow deep in OpenWRT code trying to learn how and why things are working or not working. So while I really do appreciate your reply my brain can't even handle the one thing right now and I don't think I can add another ...

You mean fill in successive numbers to see if anything happens?
I can do that but the only way I currently have to do that is by assigning buttons uploading to my remote and pushing every one of them.
Is there some other way like a smart button that just increments the code on every press, or an ...

TCL Roku remote codes for 55S525
Thanks to the work of SeeThor I was able to update labels some button functions for my TV the 55S525.
I am still hunting for codes that would be straight up numbers.
I uploaded the RMDU file here. http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=25850

I will first of all admit I have no idea what I'm talking about so please tell me why I'm stupid just not that I am.
I have a need to reprogram my old RCU810 and realized that I don't have printer port anymore, and being a cheapskate I don't want to pay $20 to program this remote once.

Short Version: I need a replacement for the IR LED on an RCU810 (A).
Long Version: I have an RCU 810 (A) this remote has an issue with resetting randomly and a solution is to connect pins 1 and 5 on the JP1 when you don't have it hooked up to the computer. I was building this connector and Stupid ...

I found a new female 6-pin connector.
