JP1 Remotes

Does anyone know where I can download fonts/clip art for key symbols pertinent to PVR's, DVD,s, etc? I would like to use these transport key symbols in some text files that I am constructing. Also might me useful in IR and KM files.

Thanks guys, I see your point. The urc-6131 probably does not qualify as a HT romote since it only has three groupings. Can these groupings be changed/increased? I don't recall seeing anything in the doc's about this with the 6131 extender.

What are the advantages of key groups? Maybe for native code, but for upgades they seem like just something else to keep up with in debuging process. I mean couldn't key moves do the some thing more clearly?

Nils, your point is wll taken. I just thought that 6 month down the road I'd be tring to figure out why I did that. More llikely though is that I will up-date the RDF's and forget to make the modifications.

Hi bagreig. I modified the RDF file (PVR0PVx1(URC-6131 Extender1).rdf) because I was running out of Phamtom keys. I could have use a physical key, but then there is alwasys the chance that some one will press that key and cause problems. I also could have use a phantom device and its phantom keys ...

Thanks Niles. I ended up with P5 - P8 ($45-$48) and ($C5-$C8) for the shifted code. This left a hole in x_shifted code, but didn't plan on using it. If this looks OK I will edit the RDF file.

I is there any reason I couldn't edit the above RDF file and add P5 to P8 ($41 to $44) and shift_P5 to shift_P8 ($C1 to $C4)? Any down side to this? Are there other key code ranges that might be more sutiable?

I look at ExtenderCodeCalc, but without knowing which of the eight tog choices to choose... I'm lost.

That was the only .doc that said anything about toadtoging and it was boundled in the same zip file. All the ir files that I have investigated using this extender all use the VRC/1800. I'll give the file that Nils mentioned and maybe I will be able to ask an intelligent question.

I need some help with the documentation in this extender.

1. I am assuming that VCR/1800 Protocol 181 is an upgrade of TV/1800 protocol 180. If this be the case why include the latter or is there something I'm missing here.

Rob, your exactly right. Actually I was tring to find the code for the PgUp/PgDn keys. These key weren,t defined in the up grade and just didn't dawn on me to try the ch+/ch- keys. Thanks a bunch for your response.
