URC-6131 + JP1 cable = $20 (free ship)

I have a slightly used 6131 (modified) that I bought from Rob. I have another remote now and I'm letting go of the remote and cable for someone else to experiment with. I'll mail it for free in the continental US except for Alaska and Hawaii (you'd have to shoulder the postage). Email me if ...

keymove question (unextended)

I came across some codes from the old yahoo forums and I'm trying to implement it into my 6131 to see if it works on my RCA TV. I gave up on the extender since it was causing me more headaches that what I was trying to accomplish.

RCA Device 7 is CBL/0392, EFC = 227
RCA Device 5 is VCR/0522, EFC ...

LOL, anyways, I wish one of the hardware dealers get a few kits together so I can get 'em all in one place.
I was thinking of the convenience of front USB ports on my PC if someone had it available for sale :)
I'll sit tight.

When I figure this out, I'm going to be the happiest dude in the world LOL. I was digging through the posts in yahoo but all I was getting was people asking the same questions and replies that are way over my head (for now anyway).

If your TV is RCA and your DVD isn't, then the discrete on for an ...

I think I'm confused and not stating my question correctly.
What I'm trying to do is to get my RCA TV to select the input based on the device button on the top of my remote.

For example, pressing DVD button will switch the TVs video input to DVD. I'm not even concerned about the audio power and ...

manual keymove then read with IR

I have installed the extender in my 6131 and I was having some trouble creating keymoves with IR so like some advices from the forum I did the keymove manually through the remote.

I was trying to find out what I was doing wrong with the keymove so I downloaded from the remote to see what kind of ...

I think I downloaded that upgrade file and configured it for my 6131 already. I was actually playing with the power (not discrete) commands for a couple of RCA devices but no luck yet, I'll try and look for discrete commands next.

Input codes for RCA F38310

Has anyone figured out if there is a discrete input code for the RCA 38 inch HDTV set?

I have checked the remote central forum and my searches turned up results saying that the input codes are the same power ON codes for VCR, DVD, DSS etc. This is one of those times I wished I had a learning remote ...

I looked at the mini tutorial 1.2 file in the yahoo files area and the author mentioned that upgrades were done to the remote first before actually doing the advanced extender stuff.

Should I do the upgrades to all my devices first before trying extenders? I did use the plain 6131 RDF when I ...

I will definitely try that. I did look at the readme file of the 6131 extender and at my first glance it looked greek to me. I'll probably have to sit and look at some examples...

Thanks for the input!

selecting input using device button - 6131

I am a new user of a 6131, my first JP1 remote (thanks Rob!)

Is there a way of using the device buttons (tv, cable/sat, pvr etc.) to select the input of my TV?

I have browsed really quick on extenders but I have not a clue if this is possible. I have done upgrades and stuff and made my buttons ...

That's ok, it was one of those ideas :)
I was thinking along the line that I was going for universal remote to rid of the clutter anyway so why not try and get the fan out of the way too ;)

Hmm, I'll have to check the remote to see if it has one of those LEDs. I know it's powered by a 9V battery if that's of any help.
