Thanks Robman,

I'm sorry for this topic involve such things. Because new model of remote controllers are not typically - some bottoms with new functions like color bottoms. I assign these keys to VCR/DVD... control set that cause lot of key-moves. And I put some key press sequences in groups to ...

New Ext RDF?

Thanks for your quick reply.

I've read extInstall readme and 6_80_XxX ext RDF files. I need to keep learning code support to parse some unknown IR, and don't need large space for fancy upgrades. Can you experts make a new 2K 6_806_80 (URC-881x_801x_601x family) ext RDF file that allow user change ...

RDF definition for memory?

I did some search in this great site, but failed in RDF definition for memory. Hope experts can make a document to describe more detail about definition in RDF.

There is no any problem when I use regular RDF to make my own device upgrades/KeyMoves/Macros. The problem that I need help is I make some ...

Yes, it's lucky to use these memory for unknown protocol. One more thing, you'll need to update checksum when you open added 8017 data file by IR. IR'll tell you new checksum.

wwwoholic,

Thanks, I've downloaded it. I think you can move it to other forum for other ppls. Many newbies need many helps, they will thanks to you too.

BTW, I found one trick to use 0x400~0x7ff learning memory for my URC-8017 without extender. I copied 8910s learning codes to 8017 by HEX Workshop ...

@Nils_Ekberg,

I've tested original 1FB in extender, that doesn't work. The new pause function that I've posted is working for me.

@wwwoholic,

Yes, I found it. The extender send signal duration is not enough on some IR receiver. The 8910 & 8017 extender all not user friendly for me. And, I don't ...

This protocol allows to insert a variable length pause inside a macro.
The protocol works on all S3C8 based remotes ( 15-1994, RCU-810, URC-7560, etc.)
Upgrade protocol 0 = 01 FB (S3C80)

Too bad to hear this. I've tried extender, but I have same duration trouble on macro for dishnetwork's RC and another RC as other topic talk about - TOO FAST.

I think I need to turn off all functions of extender back to original macro function, just use new address in extender. Can I do it?

Simply way to change memory location?

Hi,

I'm getting used to original JP1 function of URC-8017. I know it takes time to study complicated extender. So, I want to just move some devices upgrade space for key moves memory. I've read other topic talk about address assignment in RDF, and have tried to update it. It won't works normally ...

OK, I fixed it. It cause by 6_80_2x3 (6012 x3 2K).rdf or 6_806_80 (6012 2K).rdf not in the same directory with 6012-2K-3.hex. There are many RDF for one RC. That's why I can't let extender works properly.

I put
6_80_2x3 (URC-881x_801x_601x x3 2K).rdf
6_80_8x3 (URC-881x_801x_601x x3 8K$1815).rdf
6012-2K-3.hex
into extender.exe directory. What else I need it?

There are two numbers in EFC Calculator's gray out spaces. My 8017's menu has one example that use 994 function to apply 336 into SAT/0775 Exit key which just match Dishnetwork's Cancel/0x48 command. What is the purpose for this gray out decimal numbers?

Thanks Mark.

I'd remembered that at the first time I tried to apply extender to my eeprom file. All key moves and Macros are still in there. But when I do some practices for Extinstall, all Key Moves and Macros are gone, only Devices data still in new eeprom file. I want to edit these define key ...

Thanks for your help. I've uploaded it and activated OK.

Extender add lots function on RC, that's great. But for "new kid in town", so many abbreviation for keys/devices definition start to confuse me. Where I can get fully name list for those abb.name?
