thanks I will try it when I get home later. also, I tried updating the rdf with the one you suggested and then did refresh rdf in IR would that have done the same thing as using the file/new command?

tried loading the new rdf and it did not work but I was able to download from remote and build from there. kind of a pain though. was hoping for a better fix. thanks

I did get it to intermittantly upload. As far as I can tell it has a problem if I leave the batteries in when I connect it to the jp1 cable/computer. If I connect it without the batteries in it works fine. If I do start getting the upload error if I do a 981 reset and retry it works. Any ideas as to ...
