Re: Directv Protocol for URC-10820

I would like to build a device upgrade for my Directv HR20 HD DVR to be used on a URC-10820 JP1.2 remote. The Directv protocol (PID 01 62) is not currently supported for JP1.2 remotes in either KM or RM. Can I create the requred protocol update myself and, if so, how?

This one worked for me.

Question does "30s slip (jump to end)" add a 30 sec skip?

Thanks, Ed

Well I now have it working after rebuilding the IR file from scratch. The only thing I'm missing now is discrete codes for power on/off I found efc 128/129 at remote central but they don't work. Anyone have the working discrete codes?

Thanks, Ed

Are sure your HR20 is accepting IR commands and not set to RF? Because the HR20 does use the same IR commands as the R15.

I checked setup remote and it's set to IR. I did notice that in the IR.EXE the device for 1377 is set to protocol 162 but Protocol greater than FF is checked perhaps that's ...

Directv HR20

I just had this unit installed and after searching for ir codes I found that it used the same as the R15. I tried that without success. Has anyone been able to program a urc 6131 for this device?

Thanks Rob it's finally working for other devices the addition of values to the function tab did the trick. I appreciate all the work you and the other developers do.

I tried NEC 4DEV and still no success, I'll keep trying.

I again ask the question (for the third time), does the sequence in question work as a standalone shorter macro?

Sorry Capn, Yes I have tried and yes they work.

I'm not sure what could be causing the misbehaviour, but I might suggest that within macros, when you are simply trying to get a ...

After further testing it is only the last 2 commands that don't work. DVD Shift-power or PVR Power.

Unclear what you mean by "Don't work". Does NOTHING get sent? Or does the LED flash, but nothing seems to work? or do SOME of the macro functions work but not others? Have you tried each individual step in the macro separately? Like assign "TV, x-shift-Power" to a button as a shorter macro and see ...
