I'm assuming that you are not new to JP1 programming and have already programmed your 1056B01.

If you haven't built a 5-pin JP1 cable then you need to start there. There is good information in the following post to help you build it: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=102058

And I ...

Yes, it actually has seven phantom buttons so there is a lot that I could do with it using macros, but the macros play really slowly so I can't make them too long.

It's too bad that this remote is so restricted, but I'm glad that you pointed out a good workaround for the "Watch Cable" button.

I'm ...

No, I didn't try anything else when your first suggestion worked.

I was just about to try but I don't think this remote allows shifted keys... for both the buttons and macros the shift selection is grayed out.

It worked!

I assigned Power to Phantom1 for each device, and then programmed a macro for the power key with just a Phantom1 keypress.

Then I went into each device and either changed power to discrete on, or removed it altogether for devices without discrete on/off functions.

Then the "Watch Cable ...

URC-2125 BC0 - Watch Cable button frustration

I've been playing around with this remote for a while and found one thing that really bugs me... when using the "Watch Cable" macro button it treats a device key as a "power toggle and switch to that device" key.

So when I program it to switch to TV device, discrete on, select input, switch to ...

Just built the cable using the pinout from @ckeays and it works great.

The ability of the remote is limited with no shifted buttons or keymoves, but I can make it do everything that I need using the 7 phantom keys, the "extra" device, and macros.

Macros run slow, but at least they work as I ...

I repair my remotes using HVAC foil tape; which is basically sticky backed aluminum foil.

Clean the contacts and buttons using a q-tip with isopropyl alcohol, then cut a tiny square of tape and using tweezers stick it to the bottom of the button.

I found one discussion here: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=101132&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=15

The difference is with pins 1 and 2, and it says to remove batteries while ckeays seems to keep the batteries in the remote.

The cable I ordered is https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d ...

:

When looking at the remote with the keys facing up the pins are:

From Left Side of remote to Right side:
White(RxD), Green (TxD), Black (GND), Yellow (RTS), N/C
I just checked this now on my remote and it is correct.(working with Remotemaster)
Some cables from China are different. The RTS/CTS ...

I picked up a couple of these remotes for cheap to play with. I'm planning to build a one-row JP1 cable instead of adapting my existing one, but the instructions don't have the details on what lines go to each of the five pins. I have deduced the following using several interface cable documents ...

I'm just starting to set up a couple of these remotes. I added the extender to one remote and got it set up the way I like it and I want to set up the other one exactly the same way.

Do I need to go through the process of installing and activating the extender again on the second remote before ...

I think it would be interesting to see the before image (that didn't work) and the after image (that does) to see what actually changed.

The non-working image was already uploaded and I just uploaded the working image:

Is the main point here that he selected the right remote, or that he selected the extended version of the remote? Because it shouldn't make a difference, right?

Here is what I believe caused the problem I encountered and how it was resolved.

I had my OCAP 1056B01 remote programmed with extender ...

Not sure where we are. Please answer this:
Have you converted all your device upgrade .rmdu files to use the correct remote, saved them, and loaded the new .rmdu files into RMIR?

I wouldn't bother with any RAW stuff at this point, unless you have an excellent reason to do so. Just do a normal add ...

I added my TV and DVR using the RAW copy and paste and they both worked fine, but as soon as I add my BluRay player the upload gives me four blinks and a download shows that it was reset back to 30333033 (ie. unextended). (As Vickig2003 said)

When I restore the extender with only the TV and DVR it ...
