Robman's advice from that thread -
"I would advise that you use the NEC2 protocol with un-common device codes (so as to reduce the risk of you accidentally using the same code as one of your devices). If you use device code 240 and sub-device code 240, you should be safe. You should then program a ...

Looking for an upgrade with 100+ distinct keys
I am looking for an upgrade for my FLIRC. I intend to use those 100 signals to match up with 100 ish keyboard keys/combinations using FLIRC. (https://flirc.tv/)
Requirements:
1. Should not conflict with existing devices

yup, There was some feature called "VIZIO TV Remote Control" that seemed promising, but that did not change the sound bar behavior.pH7_jp1 wrote:The manual: https://cdn.vizio.com/documents/sb3830c ... 830c6m.pdf
But you are right - I don't think I saw that feature there.

learning code on remote with extension
Why I need this -
I have LG TV and a vizio sound bar in the same room. Sound bar is used as a Bluetooth speaker for music from phones/computers etc. It is not connected to the TV.
The problem is when I am watching TV and increase/decrease volume, sound bar turns on. The volume up/down for LG works ...

I'm just thinking outside the box here, and I have absolutely no idea if this will work or not, but I decided to look up which button shift+DVR was clashing with. The problem with button codes of $40 or greater is that they already have the xshift bit turned on, so shift+$42 is the same as xshift ...

Yes, the "LED staying lit until next button is pressed" works. I like that.
I also use shift-shift-power. That also works fine. LED does not go away until power is pressed. So any number of shifts do not turn off LED. In fact LED never turns off until a button is pressed. For the amount of time I ...
