RM and macros
This may be a way-out-of-date question. I've just recently got serious again about adding devices to my RS15-2117 remote and using RM 8.04 and RemoteMaster v2.02 Beta 1.5w.
I assume there are newer versions but these are working fine.
My question has to do with sending a string of commands. In the ...

Thanks again. I did the try every code method. I found all sorts of interesting stuff but not a HOME or MENU that was passed through CEC. I think it's probably OK because I discovered that some of my problems I was hoping to fix with a HOME were due to my not understanding the TV and it's use of CEC ...

CEC commands
Thanks, Rob
With everything connected I'm now looking for information about Vizio TV's and their use of CEC. It appears that the TV decides, based on what state it's in, to either take commands from the remote or pass them on to my FireTVstick on the HDMI. There are a few commands that the FireTV's ...

Thanks Rob. Your comments lead me to discover CEC. I get to eliminate the FireTV remote by using the pass-through of the TV. It looks like TIVO might respond to IR. I'll try a device table for it and see what happens. The remote I have uses bluetooth. I don't know why TIVO would have an IR receiver ...

Non-IR remotes
This is a bit off topic, I suspect, but I am looking for some method to merge IR remotes with the newer radio based remotes. I have a trusty old RadioShack remote that controls all my IR devices. But, I have a couple remotes that use some sort of radio signal. They are a TIVO Roamio and an Amazon ...

Got it thanks
Vicki2003 pointed me to a .txt version she found. I've tweaked it and will put it up in the device files area as soon as I re-figure out how to do that.
Thanks to all, Karl

.RDMU vs .TXT device upgrade files
Does anyone have a simple way to get a .TXT file out of a .RDMU file? All of the device upgrades I've used in the past are .TXT and work with the old KM.xls. I've come upon Samsung_BDP1500.rmdu wich doesn't work for me. I've tried installing RM.exe. It doesn't work for me. I don't have the files or ...

I have about 6 of the Radio Shack 2116's. I bought up a bunch when RS discontinued them. I was getting the IR/radio model with repeater for $5-$10 as they starting sitting on RS' shelves. I love the remote and I've been using them and this forum since about 2002. I just have to relearn how to do ...

Terapin TT-2200 codes
Ok, I hacked out something that works. I don't get how the KM excel thing works. The TXT file I uploaded (Terapin_TT-2200DVD.txt) does the job when loaded into KM and then cut and pasted into IR.exe. KM shows all the old Key mappings that were in TT-3800. I couldn't get KM to let me edit anything. I ...
