after learning the basics of uising the jp1 cable on my urc 8910 and playing with the LKP/DKP/DSM Combo Special Protocol for 8910/9910/HTPro without extender and learning all my codes and finding out what discretes I can and playing with remote master and IR.exe I am ready to try an extender.

SHIFT KEY

I have a urc 8010 that I have just started to program with the JP1 cable.

my question is that some programs refer to a shift or xshift.

is there a button or way on the remote that can be used to to assing more than one function per key per mode?

first I would like to thank all those who got me started in the JP1 world for their help.

my question is .I created a power button macro to turn on all my devices with the M1 key and it works fine but there is a delay before each componet comes on.

my comcast HD remote when you hit the all on ...

these are what I used to represent . I used them as they are generaly in the same place as the origional remote

M1=home
M2=repeat
M3=shuffle
L2=artist
L3=album
L4=genre

ok I have found where to put the device # and the sub device # in remote master and updated it and updated IR.exe to reflect it and

IT WORKS !!!!!

where did you get the numbers for the device and sub device?

I have downloaded the latest version of remotemaster.

where does it say you have to have device 18 and sub device 37 and how do you put it in?

to answer the previous question the remote lights up and every other functions for the other devices work just not the omnifi.

no light flickers on the ...

I got the remote master part down and pasted the output on the ir.exe device tab to the device tab as code 0000 for now and even tried assigning a different code but it will not do anything .

I can set the code up in the remote and it will say successful but does not do a thing on any button I ...

my omnifi learned remote

I managed to to learn all the buttons on my omnifi remote to my all for one remote.

is there a way now to convert this to a rmdu file and will this free up my learned memory as it is almost filled?

I have about 15-20 more buttons total to learn from my other remotes.

thanks for responding. first I do have a jp1 cable and all the codes I have now are either built in or downloaded by phone from calling the all for one help line.
