Thanks! I needed to use a screwdriver to get started on the bottom and then a credit card the rest of the way. Only minor damage to the plastic.

1056B01 disassembly

Some buttons on my 1056B01 remote no longer work reliably and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on cleaning / disassembly. I can't find any screws, and trying to pry the edges apart with a screwdriver only ends up damaging the plastic.

Help with device upgrade not working

I'm hoping someone can help me with trying to get a device upgrade working.

I've uploaded the upgrade here . When I try to install the upgrade and press a remote key (eg left arrow), the device light comes on and stays lit.

The strange thing is that this upgrade was previously working (I've ...

Finally got around to installing another one of these I bought a while back and so glad to see an upgrade already available. Thanks Vicky! I've bought three of these so far (at different points in time) and each one has been a little different (different remote codes or different keys they send to ...

What's the easiest way to update versions? I've just been rebuilding the whole thing, but as I have a lot of macros / special protocols, it takes a long time.

using "ir eye" output into computer

I have a ir repeater with an attachable ir eye that you're supposed to tape to devices. Has anyone explored the possibility of connecting the 3.5mm output to a soundcard to receive the ir signals. I tried it and I do get some signals, although I'm not sure how to decode them...

Something maybe ...

I tried uploading a ir file which works fine in my other remote and still no go :(

I also compared the ir file I got from downloading from the remote to the one I uploaded and they are identical.

Recovering a (dead?) Atlas OCAP 1056 remote

I was playing around with my remote today and something must have gone wrong and now my atlas ocap 1056 is unresponsive.

The device selection keys are completely unresponsive and do not light up. Pressing other keys will turn on the backlight.

JP1 downloading and uploading seems to work fine. I've ...

ok, the good news is that your protocol upgrade works perfectly :)

the bad news is that there was a bit of operator stupidity ( ) on my part, and it turns out that the original protocol actually works. turns out that the usb receiver received those ir signals perfectly but was sending out a ...

hi vicky,

thanks for looking at these, but those OBCs correspond exactly to those in the original set (which don't work for the new set) :(

I got another of these remotes, but it seems to have different ir codes for certain keys. I have uploaded the learned set from the new remote here . The new codes are under "TV" and the old set are under "VCR". The keys that are different are rew, ff, page+, page-, up, down, left, right.

Would ...
