JP1 Remotes

I'm trying to figure out a way to have custom icons for my devices, the best i can figure is to do a dummy device with soft buttons for each of my devices that i want an icon for. \
What i can't figure out is how to switch to a device via a macro or something that allows me to switch devices with a ...

Looking for one or two 15-100 remotes, They don't need to be modded (i can do it myself)

I have a USB flash jp1.x cable and remote that are not working together and i need to figure out if my problem is with my remote or with the cable. If anyone has a jp1.x flash cable and/or jp1.x flash remote in the provo UT area that could let me borrow it for a few minutes it would really help me ...

You're right i just figured that this appears to be a hardware issue. I should probably just put in all of the information. More information just incase it matters.

What i meant was i was trying to upload the new IR file and i kept getting errors about being unable to open the jp1.x interface.

Ok so i can figure out how to reset the remote without a lcd menu (which i can't get to). Isn't there some way to reset the remote without the lcd? Am i just in a state too far gone for of any of this to work. FYI i checked the jp1 pins and continuity checks out fine. (and no shorts between pins);

I'll give that a try but i can't get any menu to show up all i see is the blinking leds and the lcd screen has all of the characters lcd segments fully lit, ie i can't see any menu just.

tried it ... no go. FYI the blinking isn't when i press buttons. It is all of the time. Thanks for the tip but unfortunately we need to look into another solution.

Ok so i have a rs15-100 that was working great. I tried making a small change to the ir for it i attempted uploading to the remote, I kept getting a blink followed by a very brief blink (about a second later) then two blinks (about 1 second later). Then IR would report that it couldn't open the JP1 ...

I can't believe i missed that ... it's funny how you can look at something over and over again and miss something every time. That did the job. Everything is working great. Thanks for your help.

1060 is just the number i choose when creating the device upgrade in RM. If i go into IR and open the 15-100 the device upgrade is in there at the bottom list in the devices tab. Is that not what you are seeing? i know that i choose this protocol because i was able to get consistant readings(in lirc ...
