I have reason to believe that the Magnavox NB500MG9 is the same as the Sylvania NB500SL9. The model numbers are similar, the manuals are similar, the remotes look identical except for brand name. Of course, that doesn't mean the the IR codes are the same.

IRDa Let me guess. Is it the case that IRDa has some hardware between the raw IR transceiver and the PC driver so that it can only be used for its intended use. That the hardware requires a data transfer protocol so that a PC driver cannot get at the raw IR input? So I can't expect someone to have ...

Are you sure it's an IR transceiver, and not an IRDa transceiver?

I think this is a problem with all DVR remotes, but it certainly is for the one I use, SA8300. That is, there is no shortcut for the List button.

Any ideas how I can add this?
