Ahh I see now what I need to do. I'll do the DSM without the Phantom by entering the hex values directly into the keymove dialog.

Thanks for the heads-up and the patience. Still learning. :)

Okies. Thanks.

How do I set the macro to DVD-power only?

If I go Macros->Add, I just get to enter the key, not device type.

I'm guessing I'm missing something obvious. :)

Thanks.

IR question

I have a URC 8060 remote, trying to learn the tools and using the very nice extender.

I have a macro bound to key Phantom 2.
I'd like to assign the DVD Power button to execute the Phantom 2 macro.

Would it be possible to set that up from IR using a key-move perhaps?

(I'm controlling my XBOX using ...

Thanks for the heads-up. My path-statement lead to an old java-installation (1.3) After editing the rmaster.bat, forcing it to use the 1.4-installation it starts fine.

Thanks.

PS The other PC is using a 64-bit OS, and there is only version java version 1.5 available for it. But I'll use the ...

Problems starting RM

Hi!

I've never used RM, but thought I'd try and see what it does.
However, afterunpacking and executing setup.bat (importing the registry settings), the rmaster.bat just wont make any java window visible.

the text-box window stays open.
the javaw-process keeps on running.

for days, until I kill ...

Okies. Thanks. Was just a little whishful thinking. :)

I'll check what buttons that are excluded and take them out from my mappings in KM to make the basic stuff be the same. I like to have KM as a register of where I have functions. Now some functions are on disabled buttons, so that'll fix it ...

Is there a KM version that can handle extenders? Mening having the button-definitions of the extender. As well as support for the extra shifts.

Just curious. Thanks.

By the way...the backlight hack is great. Hightly appreciated!

Yes, I used RC-5 with device code 0. (0/100/3)
Didnt know about the 054, but thanks anyway.

The one I was missing was:
OBC: 122
Byte2: 1
EFC: 106
Hex: 15

It might have been in one of the ones (054) that I didnt test. Or that I didnt look close enough in the one I tried. But now I got it, so I'm ...

Yup, I found the dual-button code. Each of them sends normaly another code but learning worked fine. Had to redo it once tho. Thanks for helping.

Hehe I'm not just sitting here waiting for answers...as you seems to think.

I've gotten everything I want into KM now. Learned all buttons and wrote them manually in KM. Thought it would be easier than taking something that just partially work. So all fine now. Except for the two-button push. I'll ...

Okies. I should have been more clear.

There are some functions missing from the built-in. Biggest problem is the function that makes the TV go to setup mode. I couldnt find that one on the upgrades from the forum either.

Testing a few upgrade files from the forum, I found a few that mainly ...

LOL!

it seems as there were some oxidation or something in the remote. I just took a knife and scraped a bit (seeing nothing wrong) on the plates where the batteryedges connects. It seems to work now.

So...do I go ahead and use the learning functions to read out all buttons, or what do I do ...

Yeah, perhaps that works on some OFA remotes, but not on my URC-8060.

Upgrade code readout?

Hi! I have a URC-8060.

It has built-in codes matching my TV, VCR, AUD and DVD. The rest I've fixed other ways.

Taking the TV for example, there are a few buttons missing. So I downloaded a few matching device upgrades from this site to use via KM into IR. But none worked as good as the built-in ...
