Thanks for taking the time to look at my configuration!

(1) Phantom 1 is a generic button assignment macro, yet in three device modes you have keymoves assigned: ToadTogs (which are essentially KeyMoves) in TV and DVD modes, and a Keymove in RCVR mode, so the Macro will almost NEVER run, unless ...

Ok... I have gotten a little more daring after reading this post. Greg did exactly what I hope to do with the following devices:

Pioneer Plasma TV (device upgrade labeled 2004)
Panasonic DVD player (0490)
Onkyo Receiver (device upgrade labeled 1135)
MythTV (configured as a VCR, device upgrade ...

Help with the basics of LKP with a URC 8910 b02

Like others here, I am trying to simplify how my remote works so as to prevent confusion with friends and family.

To start off, I would like to get the following macro to work with a long key press of the TV button:

select my TV (I have tried both TV and DEV_TV)
turn it on
select my RCVR (I have ...

I'll be interested to know what your final cost is. Who are you going to order the PCBs from and how many do you think you'll get?

I am not going to have PCBs manufactured, I am going to build one using project board and Tommy Tyler's guide AN IMPROVED USB INTERFACE FOR JP1 available at http ...

If you really feel everything is way overpriced, you are welcome to assemble your own kit from scratch.

Yeah, that's exactly what I am going to do. I went ahead and ordered three Delcom USB IO chips since they have a $6 charge for orders less than $25. I will be selling the extra two at cost ...

Back to the subject at hand, the way I look at it, the extra value that JP1 gives to a remote is incalculable, it certainly exceeds the cost of the remote and/or the JP1 cable. So just because you got a good deal on the remote itself shouldn't have any bearing on how much you are prepared to ...

I might have been unclear

I have a simple style parallel JP1 cable made from an IDE cable that I can (and still do) use from my desktop. I just wanted a USB cable to use from my laptop but can't justify the price.

Why are the USB cables so expensive?

I guess when you go from making your own parallel cable for almost ...

Want to buy USB ver 2 cable refuse to pay more than $25

I've got me a new laptop without a parallel port, so I need a USB cable as a matter of convenience.

I refuse to pay more for the cable than I did for my remote, so I am offering $25 (via paypal or check or money order, doesn't matter to me). It also doesn't have to be fully assembled, I don't mind ...

The link to the zip file is incorrect (it points to the files I uploaded). I wasn't able to locate your zipped files in the diagnosis area, so I tried to copy and paste what is posted above. When I copy and paste into IR:

... Then learn the buttons to the matching button on the 8811. When the memory is full, save the file and start again (after another 981 reset). When it's time to learn any goofy buttons (ie, buttons that don't have a matching counterpart on the 8811), learn the functions to any button and then ...

How can I tell if I am receiving a "double-style" signal?

As far as I can tell, I am not.
