Nice. Reloaded the upgrade from RM and noticed that I had the AUX code set for VCR2000 instead of DVD2000. I'm not sure it that's what fixed it, but it's working now. Thanks guys!

Woo hoo! That fixed it Binky, the receiver is responding now. Thanks!

Thanks also to the others who've responded, and anyone who might have suggestions to help me figure out why the XBox isn't responding.

I have two of these Atlas5 Days. These aren't learning remotes though, right?

The batteries are fairly new, and have only seen limited use while testing. I'm sure that line-of-sight, angle, etc. are not a problem because I'm about 3 feet away right in front of the XBox and receiver.

I can't ...

Yeah, for the Onkyo I added that 011A NEC 2DEV Combo protocol. I copied it from the protocol box on the KM setup sheet, and added it under the IR protocol tab.

That was the only upgrade I added a protocol for though, because none of the others said I need to.

Atlas JP1.2 - No Response From Devices

I'm trying to install upgrades on an Atlas 5 PVR 10251025 w/ KM & RM for my:
- Onkyo 702 Receiver
- Panasonic PZ700U TV
- XBox360
- ScientificAtlanta 8300HD

The cable box (KM) and TV (RM) are working fine. The receiver (KM) and XBox (RM) do not respond to the remote at all. I'm not getting any kind ...

Sorry to leave you hanging Liz. I've been distracted by some other projects and I've hit some roadblocks with the JP1.

It turns out that most of the Atlas remotes I have are JP1.2, so I don't have the extra JP1 versions that I thought.

The EEPROMs I bought are the wrong package style and won't ...

Okay, here's some more pics of my board. I'm guessing I need to replace the part labeled A81S0-C430 with an SOIC 24C16 2kx8 EEPROM.

Re: Need to upgrade my Atlas 5's EEPROM, which one and how?

How do you have that extender working on the remote shown in your picture? Do you have two Atlas remotes that you believe to be identical?

For the 10251025, you should REALLY have no memory problems, even if there is no extender for it. Any excessive upgrades will spill over into other memory ...

Hmmm. I think I've got the wrong 2k eeprom. I opened up my Atlas 5-Device DVR and found this:

http://img464.imageshack.us/img464/1878/img2150editedhk5.jpg

I was expecting to see something similar to the eeproms I bought, and hoping I could just swap in a new one. Does anyone recognize this 28 ...

Liz, Thank you for working on this! Send me a message if you want an Atlas to test with, and specify whether you'd like me to attempt to solder in a 2k eeprom, or just ship it loose.

I'll make myself a 2k atlas and try out your prototype as well. Thanks!

That sounds like it's just some kind of volume punch-through.

...but back on the topic of Atlas 5 DVR extenders, I would still be eternally grateful to anyone who can make a 2k extender for this remote. I can suppy a chip, or a chipped remote if needed.

I've got pretty much everything needed, except for the remote and a 2K EEPROM... That's all I need... and this ashtray...
...oh, and this Chair.

OK, I'll try to put a 2K version together as time permits.
Gumby, I've been dreaming of a 2k extender for my Atlas 5 for a year. If there's any ...

Need to upgrade my Atlas 5's EEPROM, which one and how?

I'm using the 1k extender on my Atlas 5 device, but I don't have enough room to fit all the upgrades I want. I've gotten a lot of great advice here on trimming down my files, but I havn't been able to fit the extender, my receiver upgrade, my XBox360 upgrade, and all my keymoves and macros.

So I'm ...

Okay, I had everything perfect on my Atlas DVRs, but now I've gone and bought another device that required an upgrade. Why do I get the feeling that my IR file will never stay the same for longer than 6 months?

Anyway, I would be very interested in a 2k extender. How involved is it to adapt the 1k ...

Okay, I got a chance to take a good look at the IR file last night. I played around with it and it's working like a dream now. Plus I have 140&57 bytes free. See the updated .ir here .
