Learn - yes. Live with - please, no :D
1. Are missed presses still occuring? If so, which macro?

I just find that I have to hit a lot of keys twice before the device responds. My DSS receiver seems to be the worst (old JVC.. not sure about model). I have seen similar problems when using DVD as ...

I've updated the file in the troubleshooting area to reflect what I did last night.

a.) Missed key presses are something I just have to learn to deal with. I just hold buttons down a little longer than before. I may yank the The L/DKP junk to see if this helps... just haven't decided whether I'll ...

Thank you Elizabeth.

Ignore the receiver power. That's a seperate issue that I'm working on resolving :).

I'll take the rest of this into consideration and post back with results.

a.) I presumed the same.. the question is whether this is a known issue and if disabling the protocols will help.

b.) I know how to specify (x)shift while building macros in IR. The trouble is that I can't seem to generate an xshift with actual keypresses (i.e. set, set, 9 for xshift-9). This would ...

Ironing out the bugs...

URC-9910B01 (Extended)

For the most part I think I'm getting the hang of JP1. However, there are a few bugs in my setup that I cannot seem to get ironed out.

a.) Missed key presses. When I press a button, sometimes the receiving device does not respond. It seems like I have to hold keys down ...

Factory setup codes

Can someone please point me to a thread and/or describe how one pulls the functions out of the factory setup codes? I read a post earlier today (by Rob IIRC) that described a process of using keymoves to do this.

Specifically, I'm trying to get at the power toggle function from 1189.

Thanks in ...

Rob,

Interesting.. The protocol help sheet mentions nothing of the < 64 limitation. The setup sheet hints at this but I assumed it had to do with RC-5x.

As there's already a 17 in the dev2 box. I tried adding 116 to dev3 and referencing that with a byte2: 2, but that didn't work (the hex now ...

Issue using RC5-5x combo protocol in KM

I'm working on a device upgrade for a Marantz SR-7000 Receiver as the only ones out there are for SR-7200 (quite a bit newer). I've started with the SR-7200 upgrade as many of the functions work correctly.

See http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=454

I've also found that ...

Aren't there any devices that would fit this need without using upgrade memory?

8910/9910 Generic Device

Warning - JP1 noob.

I'm looking for a device (upgrade or otherwise) for my 9910 that sends a unique code for each of the buttons on my remote. I'll be using this device to fire signals to Girder.

Suggestions?

Thank you,

Ian
