Mitsubishi VS-414R discrete codes
I am looking for discrete codes for this rather old big-screen. In several places I've found Mitsubishi On=167 and Off=039. Yet, when I program these into my OFA 8811 (using the 9-9-4 sequence) the set does not respond. Should I conclude the set is just too old to have discrete codes?

Shift keys
Should I be able to assign an advanced code to a "shift key" on my OFA 8811 remote without using KM and IR, i.e., by using the 994 sequence on the remote keypad? I tried, but can seem to get it to work.

Re: JP1 cable doesn't fit MX-500
I ordered and received a USB JP1 cable from one of the recommended sites. It has a 6 pin female connector. My MX-500 has 7 pins in the battery compartment, and the cable can't be attached without possibly breaking a piece off of the side of the cable's connector. Am I missing something stupid ...

What are phantom keys?
I can't find a definition of this term in either of the Beginner's Help
files. When some function is assigned to to @phantom2 in an Upgrade file in KM, what exactly does than mean? I.e., what key(s) do I use
on the target remote to execute the function?

Invalid KM file
The file at
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=532
seems to have a problem. When I try to Load it in KM 8.35 I get the message " Not a valid KM file". I'm sure it's a version problem, since
it says KM 5.06, but I don't know how to convert it to something I can use ...
