JP1 Remotes

I decided to go all the way, and opened the remote control using the "Plastic Strips" method. It turned out to be quite painless...

All of the octal button keycodes were printed on the PCB except for the "Joystick" unit. The RDF has been updated.

The URC-7040 does not support macros. The 995 command gives only one long LED pulse instead of two short pulses.

I am a little reluctant to open up the unit, despite some of the helpful instructions that are available, I really don't think I can open it without ...

Just developed my own beta RDF for the URC-7040:

It seems to work well.

The Magic/Setup button code of the URC-7540 maps to the "Recall" key of the URC-7040. How do I work out the Magic button code for the URC-7040?

Just finished building the Ultra JP1 interface, plugged it into the remote and started up IR.exe. The "Remote Interface Check" succeeded. However, when I attempted a download, IR informed me that:

"No definition file could be found for this remote (OG40OG40)"
