Reconstructing the rmir from scratch:

1. reset remote: setup, wait for 2 blinks, 981, 4 blinks
2. copy "2010a9 (atlas 1056 b03 extender v1.00).rdf" to rdf directory used by rmir v3.0.0
3. load "atlas 1056 b03 extender v1.00 installer.rmir" & upload it.
4. press tv then rec, get one long blink ...

What do you mean by Yamaha rdf? Do you mean the Yamaha rmdu upgrade file?

Yes, I mean rmdu; sorry, still learning the differences. What do these stand for? rmdu = remote master device upgrade, & rdf = remote data file? What does rmir stand for? remote master infrared?!?

Setting aside 3fg's ...

Re: Atlas 1056B03 button assignments

Well discrete off on page -
resulted in 38462 NEC1-f16 101 122 133 D9 OBC2=155

That doesn't match the expected, so even though the button press results in transmission, the amp won't respond to it.

I didn't have time to go through reconstructing the rmir file from scratch before shuffling off ...

HamburgerHelper1, thank you for giving it a shot. I did start off with a full reset and upload of the extender, and have fallen back to this point a couple of additional times. I should add, in the remote I normally have a Samsung TV device as well, and all of the button assignments for that work ...

I uploaded your first file to an extended (V1.01) 1056B03, after making sure that all setup codes were valid. The subsequent download data matched the uploaded data.
I shot the signals into an IRWidget.
Page+ was NEC1-f16 device 0.191, OBC1 255, OBC2 191.
Page- was NEC1 255.255, OBC 0.
Day+ was ...

The Robman wrote:Have you tried programming other codes to the PAGE buttons, and if so, did that work?
Excellent question. No, I have not; but, since you asked, I put the preset+/- on the page+/- buttons. This does not work either. They're still on the ch+/- buttons, and they work perfectly on those.

I stripped out all macros, and the TV device so there's only one audio device in the remote. The Day+/- and the Page+/- buttons hold the discrete on/off codes. The Day+/- buttons work; the Page+/- buttons do not.

Here are the original rmir file and the downloaded version:

Atlas 1056B03 button assignments

I have an Atlas 1056B03 (with the extender to allow key-moves & macros), and am using v3.00 of the remote software to program it. I only use two devices in the remote: a Samsung TV, & a Yamaha amp. Whereas the rmdu for the tv works perfectly (to the best of my knowledge), the Yamaha rmdu has issues ...

Correct. What can I do to get the codes to work on more of the buttons, particularly the phantom buttons?

Thanks for the file upload info, and moving it to the correct location; will use that next time.

I put the discrete codes on the day+ & day- buttons, the page+ & page- buttons, and the ch+ & ch- buttons. The codes do not work on page+/-, but they do work on day+/-, and ch+/-.

Thanks for the review, and your time. I will look at converting the rn-803 rmdu file to nec1; mean time, here's the rmir file:

Remote.name=Atlas 1056 B03 Extender v1.00
Remote.signature=2010A9

Yamaha RN-803 amplifier - discrete power codes

I have a working setup to control a Yamaha RN-803 amplifier using a URC-6012 ( https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=26208 ).

I recently started working with an Atlas 1056B03 remote. I am using the Extender from the file section to allow key moves & macros, and v3.00 of ...

RMIR is the tool I use to pull all the devices together and program the remote, is it not? I used this on both a windows and a linux machine, as mentioned. Do you mean RMPB or RMDU? Since I wasn't building a new protocol, I did not look at RMPB; that leaves RMDU. This is the tool I used to organize ...

Lol, you made my day with the do not edit this file comment. There's something just funny about doing something the wrong way, succeeding despite that, and being (politely) criticized for it. Thank you. 8-)

I will say, when I made up the file, I started with an existing one for a different remote ...
