Another FTDI module source
Confirmed that the FT232RL FTDI module from TEMU is another viable source for a working interface cable. A TEMU search for "FT232RL" finds various vendors/prices. The board is a mini USB female to male header pins and through hole solder pads for the remote connections. I used TEMU's DuPont 40 pin ...

It's been years since I've done more than device updates or key moves, my last JP1.x cable failed and needs to be replaced. I would like to confirm before I go through the effort, the following cable is the correct choice as a JP1.x cable for use with OCAP Atlas remotes correct? https://www.amazon ...

RMIR replies "No remotes found". RMIR works for my OCAP remotes so thanks for bringing me up to date on that.
I can use IR to WAV to upload, I am trying to download learned commands. I am suspecting my JP1 cable is the issue.
FWIW, IR returns "No response from interface" when I set it to JP1. That ...

My registry also contains an additional DeviceInterfaceGUIDs multiString setting that I notice the PDF example did not. Is this an issue?
Yes. I had exactly the same issue when following Vicky's instructions, that the cable didn't work and this entry was present. I just deleted that entry and then ...

Thanks for the write-up on how to use legacy on WIN 10. After installing the WinUSB Device driver and editing the registry, I still cannot get my JP1 USB Delcom cable to work. FWIW my OCAP adapter is working fine however I would like to update all my URC 8910s and 9910s.

KM v9.18 "Using extender" field grayed out for URC
I am trying to make an extender using KM v9.18 for my URC-9910 with extender 891EX1_1 and the "Using extender" field is grayed out. The KM signature does not match my remote signature (CPTOCPTO vs CPTOCPTx1) and the extender does not work. Is there a different remote type I should be using for this ...

I got some more time to experiment with this last night and found that the problem seems to be RF interference, not IR. I unplugged the base RF/IR repeater and found that the problem gets worse when I have the 9910 remote closer to the SA cable box. The 8910 does not have the problem so it appears ...

9910 macros confusion/timing(?) issue using RF
Some macros on my 9910 remote are apparently confusing my Scientific Atlanta Eplorer 8300HD cable DVR. The macros work as expected with the RF repeater unplugged and with an 8910 (non-RF) remote. My current fix is to cover the 9910 remote's LED. Has anyone had any similar experiences? BTW, I have 6 ...

Logical Devices
They are logical devices. The 8910 can control 15 devices but there are only 8 that correspond to PHYSICAL device buttons on the remote keypad. See "The WHAT and WHY of JP1" in the Yahoo groups Help section for more info. Matter of fact, it's a great read although it may take a few times reading ...
