Hi,
I am using the new extender with IR version 6.2. I can successfully use the old version of the extender, and it installs correctly (press 10 and AV buttons, get 2 flashes, press 0, get 4 flashes). When I try the new extender it does the first 2 flashes after I press 10+AV, then I press 0, and ...

I'm happy to ZIP em up!
...It was just that I noticed that there were sections for Tivo and other PVRs, and thought I'd follow suit. So I'll zip the files up into the PVR section instead.
Nice to be doing something with the JP1 remotes again... its a testimony to how good the product and the tools are that I haven't had ...

New File section Device Upgrade-PVR-Mythtv?
Could someone please create this, so I can put in all of the device upgrades I've done for my Mythtv Linux system, and associated Linux configuration files to make them work with mythtv?
Thanks!

Just adding to the lore...
No question here from me, I spent some time figuring out how to get my JP1 remotes talking to mythtv, so though I should document it for when someone searches for an answer.
Do you think it should go in a different section? Happy to rewrite it and put it elsewhere!
Actually, if someone could ...

Another device definition
I tried Rob's device upgrade but had a lot of problems learning the IR signals produced on my Linux box (via serial IR interface).
So, here is my own (working) version. As the Linux mythtv system will learn the output from the remote, you can pretty much assign any EFC/OBC numbers you like, so I ...

Can't decode protocol for Canon EOS 300D digital camera
Hi,
Just learned the remote shutter command for a Canon EOS 300D digital camera (also known as the 300D Rebel), but can't decode the protocol. I used the latest DecodeIR.dll in my IR directory. The learned signal is
Frequency: 35398
Data: +678 -5454 +536 -130534 +678 -5454 +536 -130534

AFAIK there is also the facility to set a Tivo into a different remote mode, so you can control up to 9 Tivos. In the PTV recorder setup guide (TiVo Series 1), if you set the remote to be "unit 0" it will control all Tivos, if you set the remote to be unit 1-9, only the matching TiVo will respond ...

I used the Philipstivonpu1 device upgrade at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jp1/files ... Codes/PVR/
as a base, then made my own modifications, see
PhilipsTiVoNPU_ib_v_1_3.txt
Good luck!
Indulis
PS don't forget to change the remote control type when you load it into KM!

*ONE* key (Enter) does not work on Sony DVD player
Hi all!
I'm the proud owner of a new Sony DVD player (progressive scan!).
Borrowed the Sony device upgrade definition from the Sony DVP-S7000 DVD player, most of it works fine....
EXCEPT....
The Enter key (not very important!) just does not work... When I learn it into my remote, it does work ...
