Welcome to the club

Hi Cary,

I was hoping I could program HDMI2 into my Comcast remote so I wouldn't have to use the Yamaha remote but maybe I need to contact Yamaha to see why the receiver is automatically switching to AV4 rather then stay on the HDMI2 input.

I recommend to read up on JP1 remotes and device codes ...

Power toggle

Hi Cary,

Yes toggle means it can turn it on and off. I have 2 other yamaha receivers and they both have a "stand by" button to turn the receiver off. Discrete functions as opposed to toggle just turn on or off so if you create a series of functions (a marco) you can always turn on components or ...

Getting started

Hi Jukebox

I recommend trying to upload a device to your RS-1994 and seeing how it works. I suspect there is a upgrade in the file section that should help. You'll have to tell the IR program the path to the RDF's so it recognizes your remote. You do this under file in the IR program. I always ...

Advance Code

Hi CaryK

I am perhaps not the best to help you but I'll try and perhaps some one will follow up if I am unable to get what you want done. First I recommend you reading this thread to get a grasp on JP1 programming.

New Stuff Looks Good

Hi Tommy,

Hope you can keep going. I have several interfaces from you and appreciate the work you do. You also helped me out with some driver issues. You have been wonderful to deal with.

Thanks
Joe

I am sorry it is AMD and one machine is 64-bit. But the 1400 is not 64-bit. I have tried to install the drivers for the USB interface. But it claims it doesn't recognize them. It still crashes. I can get it to last as long as five minutes before it crashes.
Have you had trouble with the 64-bit ...

IR software crashing

I have been having troubles with IR just crashing after a few minutes use. I have done everything I can think of to solve the problem. Making a clean install of the latest version and eliminating all old versions. But it crashes with out warning. The longest I can get it to last is about five ...

Whoa thanks for the quick response!!!
Well it's working fine now. I am not sure what I was doing yesterday, I am just getting into extenders and the 6131 frustrates me with the manual keymoves. Some how I must've done something wrong.
The file I uploaded is without all the keymoves and just the ...

Thanks for the replies but your suggestions didn't work. I tried the shifted key to a current device key and same result.
I have upload the tx. file to the Yahoo diagnostic area and would appreciate if you could see what I am doing wrong.
The remote doesn't light up at all therefore no signal is ...

6131 Device Assignment

I have successfully installed the 6131 extender, and have figured out how to manually set keymoves. But I can't figure out how to assign a new device other than the ones that came set up.
I have tried to create a macro with the proper functions for device 7 and device 8 to the thumbs up and thumbs ...
