Here's a puzzle for you all

I was using the factory remote for a TCL Fire TV in the same room as a LG TV. The LG responds to the TCL power button as if it were a discrete on command.

TCL Fire POWER: NEC1 Dev 2.125 OBC 070
LG DISCRETE ON: NEC1 Dev 4 OBC 196

Edit: Disregard. I think the TV is flakey. It also turns on when I ...

I use a FireTV Stick 4K with one of these OTG cables that allows me to use my IR remotes to control the Fire TV:

The "dangerous" commands are OBC 250 (EFC 00015) and OBC 251 (EFC 00019). All the others are safe to try.

I've set up JP1 remotes for the LG C1 and Sony A80J OLEDs (ancestors to two of the TVs you list), and have used them almost exclusively. They have all the functions of the factory remotes, plus, in the Sony, numerical input. The factory LG remote has an "air mouse" function, which the JP1 remote ...

Steve, I tried code 2558 on my 3680 remote and it works. I've used three different iterations of the WDTV and they all use the same remote codes. Oddly, the remote will accept 2558 on the STREAM button, but not the DVD button.

I never understood how those worked. Shouldn't rejiggering IR to visible light violate conservation of energy laws?

Stuck in "processing"

No luck here, either. My 7/19/2021 order status is "processing." Credit card charge was processed. Opened ticket to inquire about the delay, and got no response.

Found it by trial and error: Right-click anywhere in pane, select "Clear" from drop-down menu that appears.

Clearing the IrScrutinizer scrutinize remote table

Dumb question: short of exiting the program and re-launching, how do I get a fresh screen in IrScrutinizer?

I prefer IRscope because I'm too lazy to learn IRscrutinizer, which is doubtless a more powerful tool. I'm sure that if I spent the necessary time to learn IRscrutinizer, I'd be more comfortable using it, the same way I eventually learned to appreciate RMIR over its predecessors.

I'll ...
