yea I think you are right. I do remember reading in the manual I downloaded that the QA-2500 can learn commands for presentation equipment. these buttons are not shown on the pic I have. they are displayed in the manual under a sliding cover.

The "legitimate" commands I meant were the right, left ...

as for the diffrent codes on the same remote I think that they are real as the functions under sharp 3 are all on a seperate portion of the remote
