Experimenting with the Segment 13 data I've found something new - at least it was new to me:
The last non-FF value (03 in this case) seems to define (or influence) the delay between the execution of 2 consecutive macro key signals. I've changed that value to 64 and it took ~ 10 seconds between 2 ...

Hi 3FG,

thank you for your reply.

It has the same signature as the 2981.
That's why I had tried the "351201 (URC 11-2981 R01).rdf" first. ;-)
And I could see very quickly, that this RDF was a good start (whereas the 3920 RDF didn't really match - that one may be from a R00 or R01 revision remote ...

351201 URC-3940 R03 (URC 11-3940 R03)

Hello,

recently I've bought this URC-3940 remote control to replace an old remote.
I've found the "usual" 6-pin connector inside of the battery compartment, so I was confident to get it programmed to totally fit my needs.

To make a long story short:
It looks like there is no support for it yet ...

RemoteMaster "Preferred Remotes" issue

Hi,

in RemoteMaster 2.02a (Device Upgrade Editor)
when I open Menu -> Options|Remotes|Edit preferred...
I can always enlarge the number of remotes in the list of "Preferred Remotes", but
I'm not able to reduce the number of remotes.
When I remove an entry from the "Preferred" list (lets say - had ...

Now I'm totally confused. :(

I can confirm, what PeteHarland wrote.

When I start RMIR from the start menu entry (that's "RemoteMaster.exe -ir"),
Help|About says" "RemoteMaster v2.02a".

Help|Check for update says:
"Version v2.02a of RemoteMaster is available, but you are still using
version 2.02 ...

Ahh. Looks like I've found it (already)! :D

To my surprise, no "Ruwido" or other strange things - simply NEC1 (38kHz), Dev 0 / Sub 80.
I had tried a lot of NEC1 dev/sub combinations before without success.
But the solution was just one subdevice away.

After Vicky's post I thoroughly inspected the ...

RemoteMaster v2.02a (standalone) issue

I have found a (very) little problem with RM IR.
Perhaps that issue had already been addressed elsewhere,
but I haven't found such a topic.

RemoteMaster v2.02a (Standalone Windows version)

About Java IR:

HUMAX IFOX-TC/Ruwido/DE

The IFOX-TC is the "Telecolumbus" (Cable Company Germany) version.
But it looks like even the "-TC" has different models.
Or at least there are boxes with different remote control devices
(Ruwido in this case?).

According to the manual the right one should look like this:

HUMAX IFOX-TC/Ruwido/DE

Hello,
recently got that Cable Receiver from a friend.
But he didn't have the remote anymore.

2. Type of device: Cable Receiver
3. Year: ~2008
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: URC-7541, URC-7552
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still ...

I tried again to complete my Grundig16 00 AB protocol version (command translator part).
But now I see (again) that it is not possible to generate the correct OBC values using the XORCheck "trick".
So your GrundigXLator obviously is the way to go.

I think it will work with both protocols (00 AB and ...

I found a new NRC17 version here
http://hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=3367
(also called 00 BD).

This one has a different code section (there is only one for S3C80).

If I understand it right, this version is built into newer remotes,

but ...

A friend of mine bought a NOKIA "Mediamaster 150 T" (DVB-T receiver) at ebay without remote control (for 1 Euro 8-) ) .

I discovered that it uses the NRC17 protocol, but I couldn't get the NRC17 (=00 BD) in RM to work.

After doing some research I found that (at least for some older S3C80 ...

java.lang.NullPointerException in RM 1.97

I upgraded from RM 1.40 to RM 1.97 recently (well, in fact I just tried
to use the new version 8-) )

But the new one only showed me a window saying
"Remote Load Error"
"java.lang.NullPointerException"
"at java.lang.Void.<unknown>(Unknown Source)"
