Ok something weird I just pulled out my RS 15-2133 for which I have NO NO JP1 hookup since I made my own cable to test with my 15-2117. I used the MANUAL protocol from the link I had in the post above but I am about to enter it into the original 0869 device code which is GI 4DTV protocol to see if it works. I finally got to "give back" thats awesome.

Thanks so much for the info I also did some more searching and found a complete hitachi upgrade with the discrete video codes. Works great but that post sure has every last discrete available for Hitachi RPTV
