Re: KM bug

Hi John,

Meanwhile, you need to retype the 162 into that field. After loading or saving that upgrade and before copying the upgrade contents over to IR.EXE

Yes, I did that.

...I need more details to diagnose that.

1) You loaded the .wav into the 9962. That seemed to work (double blink at ...

Hi John,

But assuming your problem is different, what directory is IR.EXE in? What directory is your .ir file saved in? What directory is IrToWav installed in? Did you remember to tell IR.EXE where IrToWav is?

My IR.exe and IRtoWav are in the same folder/directory. Is that an issue?

Yes. I ...

Hi John,

When I tried what you said about exporting to wav in IR, I keep getting an error message saying that it is unable to write the file in the folder.

Is there anyway to export just the upgrade from the txt file using command line?

Cheers...

Hi John,

Eh, yes the wav file you made did load, but it doesn't seem to work. Dunno why...

As for the KM file, I did enter 162 in the cmd3 field, but after saving it disappears! I dunno if I was doing it right. :( Is there anyway to fix this?

And to test the thing out, I did convert the 1965 to ...

I've uploaded my pioneer ir and km files to the diagnosis folder.
Can you help me take a look at it... I hope I got it right.

Click here for the IR file.

Click here for the KM file.

Hi Guys,

Tried updating the remote with John's wav file for the KASAKAS0 signature. It loads! So, that's one down... still left the Pioneer HTiB.

Have tried doing up the pioneer code in KM - will try the update tonite. Hope it works!

Ok... got it now... My remote is 9960B01 and when I get home tonite, I'll try to update using the wav file.

One more thing - my home pc is pretty old, so when I try to run the RM, it takes a super long time to even load and for KM, well, my pc hangs. Sigh, time to get a new PC! Good excuse too ...

Hi John

I have tried your wav update file on my remote and it doesn't work. Pls refer to my last post for the model of my remote - now I'm even more confused! :(

In any case, I would be more inclined to treat it as the URC-9960B01 as the box might be wrong, and the code in the battery compartment ...

Hi Rob,
EH, RM doesn't wanna let me enter more than 2 characters in the hex... dunno if it's just me not knowing how to do it. Will keep trying, but if you think that KM is better, then I will attempt it over the weekend.

One other thing, my remote says it's a URC-9960B01 on the outside of the ...

Wow, one nite and all this... Thanks guys!
Ok, like Rob said, the 9962 is the same as 9960. I am able to turn off the motion sensor, adjust the screen/pad light time out and brightness or the screen/pad. So I reckon it's a B01??? I understand that you cannot turn off the motion sensor in the older ...

Hi Rob,

I have uploaded the file in the diagnosis area. The filename is PioneerAUDDVD.ir. Click here for the file.

Yes, you are right, the 1459 code is for AUDIO and 1965 is for DVD.

The file is saved for the URC 8060 and I have the URC 9962... so if I change the button to function mapping to ...

Hi Rob,

Don't mean to put you down or anything like that. You see, the part I don't get is in the KM Functions tab... and that's the guts of the whole thing, I have come to realise.

Ok, I do NOT have a JP1 cable. I have downloaded wav files meant for the URC 8060 and have imported it to IR, and in ...
