JP1 Remotes

You were right, it does appear that the DVR acts differently to the LKP for that key. There was a setting on the DVR that was preventing it from turning Native on/off. Once I found that then the LKP on the JP1 remote worked correctly.

I agree with Capn that it has nothing to do with IR versus RF.

Edit: I saw in another forum that format long key press is supposed to toggle native on/off, but it sure isn't working for me. kcorth, does it work for you using the OEM remote?

I really just want the output disabled, but removing the puck altogether would be fine. I have no plans for using it once removed.

I have two 9910 remotes and want to remove the RF puck from one of them. I obviously want to do this without affecting the operation of the remote other than to disable the RF ability. Anyone know how to do this?

Is there any way in IR to extract macro commands to Excel or something so that you can actually see the order of all the commands that will occur on a given button press? I have some very complex macros that I need to clean up but it's hard following the commands all the way through. I'd like to be ...

Thanks, I'll get that fixed. When I use a special protocol though, do I need to define a keymove or macro to use with it? When I just define the special protocol on the TV device button the botton acts as though nothing is assigned to it at all.
