I have been following the threads on the new Maps, Images and RDF distribution process but have not had much to contribute. I did however want to complement you folks and what appears to be a promising improvement over the way I did it.

Nice work :D

I am fine with this. I have been extremely busy lately with my job. As a matter of fact I am not even home now.

I did some work on it a little while ago but if you start from the latest version you should be good.

I e-mailed you the latest RDF's Maps and Images

So you are actually putting RM and IR in the same folder?
I'd do something like:

C:\jp1\ir
C:\jp1\rm
C:\jp1\rm\Images
C:\jp1\rdf
C:\jp1\km
C:\jp1\Upgrades
C:\jp1\Config

Most of those are self explanatory.
Upgrades holds KM and RM upgrade files
Config holds .IR and .RMIR files
Mine is worse and ...

Greg will have to speak for how RM would handle the RDF's since I don't remember exactly but I do think it ignores things it does not recognise in most cases.

I do however see no reason why IR could not handle RDF's with RDFsync=3 as if they were purely RDF3. If they have RDFsync=4 then they ...

I have replaced this file 3 times since the first comment. I have received numerous PM's and e-mails from users. When I e-mail the file to people they say it is good.

So, what I have done is completely removed the file and uploaded a new one.

I voted for number 2 simply because that is the one I built with Delcom and still works for me on XP. I have also tested it on Vista and it worked but some people have reported that it does not.

Oh well, it sounds like your port is working and for some reason IR is not seeing it. I assume you tried both the serial and the usb-serial options.

Vicky, did you check to see if the com port was active in both the bios and device manager? Also, it may be a different port number like com4.

Although I agree 100% with Rob's recommendations I just thought I would share an experiment from awhile back when I used a remote with a recessed set button for a lot of learning. I just roughed it up and put a dab of epoxy on it and it became a raised button. Hot glue would work also. Just be ...

I got a PM on this yesterday and was able to download it with no problem. I just tried again and it downloaded fine. However, I am on Linux with Firefox right now.

Any way, I just uploaded a fresh copy so please try it again.

Thanks

Mark is correct. If a special protocol is available for an unextended remote the protocol needs to be in the protocols tab and also enabled in the RDF. A good example is the MultiPlexer which is available for a lot of remotes. If you go into the special protocol tab and do an add you will see which ...

I don't see support for the 1067A in KM (I could be blind) so that may be the problem.

Post the KM file that you created and also the one that works on the other remotes so we can try to convert it for you in RM.
