Re: RM and IR with Mac OS X?

I just want to make sure I understand the above correctly. Does it mean that with the appropriate interface I could use my Mac running Mac OS X 10.6 to program my remotes. I currently own two URC 8910 and one URC 9910.
Yes. You will need both Tommy Tyler's interface cable and his JP1 EEPROM ...

RM and IR with Mac OS X?

Version 0.18 of the JP1.x serial library is now available. This adds support for Mac OS X to that previously available only for Windows and Linux, and includes versions for all three processor types PowerPC and 32-bit and 64-bit Intel. For the history of the development of the Mac OS X versions ...

Many of the functions lined up with Onkyo TX-NR807 file that was found in the file section. Given that, I think that you need to check to see if your remote is changing functions, the way pjigar reported.

A quick search in the file section shed a whole lot of light onto the problem you are ...

The links that you posted work just fine, so I guess you figured that part out.

The learned file that you posted is corrupt as the signature is missing from the file. However, i was able to cut and paste the signature from your other IR file and was able to view it in IR.exe

In your RM file ...

I have made some interesting progress since I posted three files in the diagnosis area. I would like to delete those files before I post the latest ones that are partly working; how can it be done?
When did you post files? I've been waiting for you to post them so I could look at them. So don't ...

Doucetlaurier, don't forget to post links here in your thread.

I happened to be looking at the file section and saw your ONKYO TX-NR708 get loaded into the diagnosis section.

A quick search in the file section shed a whole lot of light onto the problem you are having, but without your RDMU file ...

...so if you don't want to show your work to us for a diagnosis, I'd suggest looking at a Onkyo upgrades to see how they are setup.
It's not that I don't want to show you my work. I just wanted to do everything I could before asking for your help. There is always the risk that I made a stupid ...

Re: URC-9910 does not accept upload

Do the 10 learns operate the equipment? No, that's my problem: none of the learns operates the equipment, not even the power button. I know I have a problem somewhere but I can't spot it.
After looking closely at the learns I realized that there are two different protocols that is NEC1 and NEC2. I ...

Re: URC-9910 does not accept upload

I'm afraid I did not save the learned signals file. As I did it in three different steps I only have the latest file with only 10 learned codes. Do you suggest I do the learning over again from the beginning?

Thanks

Re: URC-9910 does not accept upload

If we could see the learns, and the RM file and the IR file that you have put together, we can test it to see what your upgrade is actually sending and compare it to the original learns.

After forgetting the protocol, one of the other most common errors is to not assign it properly to the device ...

Re: URC-9910 does not accept upload

IR 7.08 is an *incredibly* old version of IR, the current version is 8.03. I would echo the recommendation that you download the current versions of IR and the RDFs, and for RM, the maps and images.
Thanks for the suggestion. I must admit that I don't visit the site very often. I did because I ...

Re: URC-9910 does not accept upload

1) When having problems you should always check to make sure you have the latest and greatest software. You should update IR and the RDFs.

2) Upload the files that you are having trouble into the diagnosis section with a link here so that we can take a look. There are a bunch of common problems ...

URC-9910 does not accept upload

Hi

I am using IR 7.08 to modify some codes of my URC-9910. I was able to download from the remote and I copied the data from RM into a new device page of iR-7.08 and I assigned the new device code (1010) to the Rec/Amp that I want to replace with a new one. When I click on Upload to remote ...
