OK! Thanks for the pointers about the hex code. I got everything I wanted working. I'll probably clean things up a little and then post the device upgrade. It'll probably only contain the protocol for MAXQ610, but I'll leave a link to here in case someone else with a similar receiver wants to build ...

Ok, I captured all the "unclean" signals, and replaced my old upload agian. Have a link: https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=25966
the re-transmitted signals work fine now. Unless relative tolerance is set below 0.3, they actually decode as Teac-K again. I tried using ...

I think I figured it out! For some reason, IrScrutinizer always would see the remote's lead-in pulse as approx. +2350, -2350. Perhaps this is due to my capturing hardware, although it happened with the demodulating receiver as well. The other arduino sketch I tried saw +2350, -2000. This appears to ...

Yeah, everything from the 1056B03 decodes as valid Teac-k, with all the expected function codes etc. Here's a raw capture of a subset of the commands.

My dad also owns one of those fancy Logitech Smart Hub remotes, and I set that up for the receiver. I tried plugging the capture pin on the arduino directly into the ir blaster output plug on the hub in order to double-check my captures while bypassing all infrared hardware entirely. The captures ...

Yeah, I was able to do that. I had to harvest an IR led from an old remote, but I got it. I was able to control my TV using IrScrutinizer, but I was unable to control my Samsung receiver with your girr file. I was also unable to re-transmit captured signals from the original remote. Was that to be ...

Thanks everyone! It seems like you're making progress! On my 1056B03 remote with the MAXQ610 processor, I tried Barf's upgrade file. It didn't control my receiver, even after changing the device code to 0 like you mentioned. However, capturing the JP2 remote's signals back into irScrutinizer led to ...

Thank you! Am I correct in assuming that the next step would be for me to use RMPB to that information into a JP1 protocol?
I was just looking at the help file in RMPB and it said that it only works for devices with the JP1.3 or earlier interfaces. Currently I'm using an Atlas 1056 B03 which uses ...

Thanks for the input. Here's that raw dump. When I was exporting, IrScrutinizer warned me that "some signals in export are erroneous." I'm not sure what that means. I'm still not all too familiar with IrScrutinizer, so I hope I didn't do anything wrong.

No, unfortunately those learns I put together was just to test if the recording setup I put together was working. They weren't actually for the AV receiver I was trying to control. I think it must use some really weird protocol that IRscrutinizer doesn't support. I guess the next step is to look ...
