JP1 Remotes

Sorry guys it appears like I setup my remote a couple of months ago and I need to go back to the drawing board because I have forgotten some key ideas.

OK Maybe I didn't explain well enough I do understand you actually use the IR program to communicate directly with the remote....

1. I have the keymap master excel spreadsheet thaqt I can retrieve RDF files into.

2. When I retrieve in RDFs into the XL spreadsheet there are tabs setup, functions ...

I am using the OFA-6131 remote which is awesome and I have the JP1 cable of course. I am using the KM (keymap-master) XLS program and I can retrieve RDF of my device but which tabs on XLS sheet need to be filled in. I am almost there if I can just get this piece.

Staying on the subject of the LG3000 codes that I am using...in the IR program how do I see the codes that are mapped to the surf button for example. If they were listed in the original LG3000 remote codes that I pulled into the keymaster and then to the IR shouldn't the defaults come over which ...

The following are the components I have and the features from the remote I am missing.

Panasonic DVD-S35 DVD Player
- Display - like a menu button

LG 4200A HD STB
- the dash (-) button used when typing in subchannels
- signal - to see the strength of the antenna signal
- surf
- aspect ratio ...

I have the 6131 that can control all my devices to *some* degree. Now I want to able to add my "menu" key on my DVD remote that does not by default map back to a button on the 6131. The same for my LG 4200A HD STB I have a browse button on my STB remote how do I add this ...

OK very strange but...I have it working now. The only thing I did different this time was to use the AUD as the linked button where I was using the SAT/CBL button before.

Now I need to work at mapping some of the buttons of my DVD player and my STB to the 6131. The devices do work with the 6131 but ...

This doesn't make any sense but when I came back to the remote *no* controls would work

I just reloaded the previous file and I am set but does anyone have any idea why uploading this one set of codes LG 3000A to the "CBL/SAT" trashes all other codes???

OK I used the LG3000 device codes which seems to change the channels. It is late so I have no time to look into it more. At least I have a start...
