Re: Logitech stopped supporting their older Harmony models

we got forums again!

I use them the same way. Often I will make the upgrade from the Harmony and then thoroughly test/brute force to find all the discretes that Harmony doesn't.

Fortunately mine are still supported (650 and 665)

Maximum number of activities on ARRX15G (Xsight Color)?

Good morning

First of all, Rob, I'm so glad to see you have decided to bring the forums back. I know it involved some work but I'm still out here collecting the somewhat obscure audio gear and it'd be hard to control without Xsight support, especially now that there's no more Harmony either.

Here ...

I really hope this doesn't die, but if it does, that you are able to at least pass on the file section and all the good articles to someone else.

I'm obviously still coming back here every time I get a new piece of gear because while the XSight is now going to be old enough to vote in a few years ...

Then yes, I have an upgrade for the singular piece of TEAC/Tascam equipment that I own that supports IR remote control :)

But from a JP1 point of view, do you have your remote programmed to control all of your Tascam units that support remotes?

No, because the 122B cassette deck only supports a wired remote :)

The only Tascam units I currently own are the MD-02B, 122B, and a 122 MkII that needs a new capstan motor ...

There are a few DA20's on there that are sold as "not working", if you think you have the skills to repair them. But even those are in the $100-200 range.

yeah if I get anything it's going to be TOTL or close to it. And at this point it's more of a collection thing than something I'll actually ...

thank you for pointing out that Tascam made DATs too... now I have an eBay search set up. Unfortunately it appears the TOTL DA-45HR is eye wateringly expensive even today; if there ever was a dip I missed it.

nice. so it's literally just a straight hex to base 10 conversion and that's the format we use?

I see what you did there, the model number of my unit is not a MD-CD2 though it's a MD-02B. straight up MD deck no CD transport like the MD-CD1.

It does appear that I should try some of the MD-CD1 codes ...

I forgot to mention, I found this, although I am not 100% certain how to convert to the format that we use, and also it doesn't cover the MD-02.

I'm going to upload a copy just in case it goes away at some point.

All right, I just installed v3.1.5 on my personal laptop and now I'm all functional again. Here's the upgrade, this is just a straight learn of all the buttons on the original remote, I haven't even looked to see if there's any more codes on Harmony hence 0.8, but basic stuff is functional.

The Robman wrote:So, get cracking on that MD upgrade already, we are eagerly awaiting it! :)
heh. How many of yinz really have rack-mount MD decks? :)

I did find my Harmonies so I can cross check with that too for more codes. I dunno if it's worth brute forcing this one, maybe if I get bored.

1) is there a way to change that scale factor within the program?
No.
2) is there any harm running setup.vbs again after it's been run before?
I think this will work, if not please report so that we can fix it. You can also right click on the icon and edit the command line, squeezing in -Dsun ...

heh, that's me, always finding the obscure stuff.

I love that sites like this exist though because as many times as I've completely decoded a device from scratch, I've also gotten 90% of the way there because of work someone else did and posted.

Replacement remote showed up today, I brain farted and tried to use the "wrong" PC to work on this but actually found that whatever bug was keeping me from running Java programs on a 4K monitor on my personal laptop has apparently been fixed (this is Win10) so I fell down a rabbit hole of getting ...
