Rob,

Thanks for help! Everything works great except a couple of minor issues that were easily fixed. There were 2 key moves for the tivo unit1 and tivo unit2 that were still referencing the old setup codes (1618 and 1619). I changed them to the correct (1620) code and they were fine. Also the new ...

I have made some additonal changes including using the official tivo protocol. Everything is still working and I have a little more free memory than before (83 free for Upgrade, 677 free for Move/Macro). Here is the link to my latest IR and device files. I should be ok for now but if I need to add ...

I'm not sure exactly what the problem was but after starting over from scratch and adding the new devices/protocols everything is now working. I am still almost out of upgrade memory. The 8910 extender appears to use much more memory than the 15-1994. Thanks.

8910 extender - Remote hangs after activation

I am using a URC-8910 with the extender listed as 8910ex1_1.zip in the files section. I used as a starting point a test file with only a few devices in it. This file works fine. When I started to add devices I was running out of upgrade memory so I deleted all the devices/prototcols except TV:1800 ...

Hey Jay,
In the meantime, in order for you to be able to use RM to generate the correct upgrade, all you would need to do is edit the RDF for the 15-1994 remote.

Go to the last section, which is called [Protocols] and look for the 007E entry and change it to 007E:1 then RM will work correctly. I ...

If you use the upgrade generated by RM, you'll either need to also use the protocol upgrade that it gives you, or you'll need to manually edit the upgrade code so that it uses $007E rather than $017E or whatever PID it uses.

The other alternative is to review the protocols.ini file to make it in ...

The version of $007E that's in the 15-1994 remote is the right one for DVD players, it's the one that you get when you select "Pioneer DVD" in KM. So, you shouldn't need a protocl upgrade for the 15-1994.

The version that's in newer remotes is called "Pioneer MIX". Can I just use the device ...

But none the less, if RM and KM are in sync, they should create similar upgrades (ie, using the same PIDs).

Please do tell which remote you had selected in KM and confirm that you had the same remote selected in RM. I am using a RS 15-1994 with both. Here's what I notcied. When I initially load ...

Different protocol ID listed with RM vs. KM

I am using the Pioneer DV-578a DVD player device upgrade in the files section. When I load the upgrade into KM v9.06 it displays protocol ID "00 7E" and no upgrade protocol required. BTW I have used this device upgrade and all functions seem to work fine. Since I have been trying to switch over to ...

Lowered Price

I have lowered the price. These remotes are in perfect condition. I will also consider offers as I have no use for these. Thanks.

Hi Jay,

Were you able to get the 6690 working? Joe,

I never got around to doing anything more with the 6690. I decided I didn't like the feel/key layout compared to ther OFA remotes. They do look cool though. I had bought 3 of them and a JP1.2 serial cable. I now have them listed for sale in the ...

FS: (3) OFA Kameleon Hybrid URC-6690 remotes w/JP1.2 cable

I have (3) OFA URC-6690 remotes for sale. They were sold to me as "factory refurbished". 2 of the packages are still sealed. The other one I took out of the package to try it. All 3 come with printed user manual. The JP1.2 serial cable is the one sold here . I will sell everything (3 remotes plus ...

The 6960 is NOT the same as the 6690, so their RDFs are NOT interchangeable.

The RDF for the 6690 is cleverly hidden in the Files section>Tools>RDF files folder of this site, and it's at THIS link. Yea I already downloaded from that link. The problem is that although the the zip does have the 6690 ...
