Of course, we're all glad you were finally able to make progress, but just for future reference you should know that the 8800 remote has an unusual amount of 'ifs' , 'ands' & 'buts' that most of the newer remotes don't have which make it harder than normal to get it set up the way you want. If your ...

Ok, I did the unlock/972 and MFG reset and uploaded file again and nothing, did it again without activating VPT (just in case)and nothing again, tried again manually adding Keymoves on the remote, no luck. I suspect this Pioneer upgrade code (2004) is the culprit, with the old code (0013)vpt worked ...

I'm back trying to finish off programming this remote.
I need some help/suggestions regarding VPT and 8800 behaviors I can't figure out.
VPT works fine for TV,VCR, CATV/SAT, but it doesn't work for DVD and AMP(HD-STB), I used IR and created Keymoves to my Tuner for this devices but they don't work ...

Re: Few questions regarding URC 8800
I'm not sure if you can place macros on the shifted device buttons. Try the same macro on some other shifted button to see if it works. If it does, then the 8800 probably doesn't support macros on the device buttons (shifted or not).

KM mapping and the URC 8800
I'm trying to use the Pioneer elite vsx-45tx definitions on my vsx-33tx, but under the 8800 remote KM mapping for AMP/TUNER to many direct keys are shifted (@) using up precious memory in IR, I read on KM's README file that any KM 'device type' can be used (with correct remote definition)and ...
