Good and Bad news....
Good: It's easy to customize the AudioHelp and VideoHelp keys!
Bad: I assumed too quickly the AudioHelp was crazy... ;ˆP
More info... My fault here... It seems that the AudioHelp and VideoHelp keys borrow their functions from the AV/clear key (next to "0" and "9" keys) setup ...

I have had time for a quick look at your raw data file. Unfortunately ... there is nothing more that RMIR can do with it. Sorry.
Many thanks again for your input mathdon!
Would you know whether the AudioHelp and VideoHelp buttons could be customized? I've already tried keymoves and macros, but in ...

Re: MAXQ612/622 Similarities
I believe you have new firmware for your URC-7962. It is possible that has changed the coding method used for activities. If so, it is possible RMIR can do more. If you think this is the case, please post a raw download from a setup with your new firmware so I can look into it, though it will not ...

MAXQ612/622 Similarities (URC-7962 Motion Activities)
Any of the JPx gurus would have an opinion on whether it could be possible, someday, to have as much flexibility on customizing a MQ612 remote (such as the URC-7962 Motion) as it is with some MQ622 (XSight Lite/Plus) with RMIR?
On RMIR 2.03 the Activities on both XSight models are extremely ...

Small Updates
URC-7340 (and 7140) have Learning capacity.
URC-7962 has backlighted keys. It also has an updated firmware revision with signature 205801 which (re)enables the macro function on its 3 SmartControl (Activity) keys without losing each respective Activity. For the moment no additional info on the ...

URC-7962 SmartControl Motion Macros and Activities
Hi all,
Have discovered an interesting thing about Macro and Activities on the 7962.
As already posted and differently to the older 7960, the 7962 does not keep the Activity state after programming a Macro on WatchTV, WatchMovie or ListenToMusic keys. After the macro runs, the last device stays on ...

URC-7962 SmartControl Motion Macros and Activities
Hi,
As already posted in some of my previous and recent posts, I have a URC-7960, a URC-7962 Motion and a couple of URC-7340's.
I would love to be able to substitute the 7960 which is currently with my old folks for the similar 7962, mostly because of its bigger labels and backlighting. Besides ...

OFA Essence 4 Latin America (URC-7340)
Hi All,
Just uploaded the RDF, Map and JPG for the Latin American version of the URC-7140 Essence Remote.
The RDF is based on 3FG's OFA Essence 7140 RDF, and adds updated Protocols, DigitMaps and SetupCodes. Besides those and the new signature and name, it also contain mathdon's suggested ...

URC-7130 Essence 3 Observations
Hi all,
A couple of ideas for these nice OFA JP1.4 remotes (including the 7120/30/40 and the more complex 7960).
It would be nice to be able to have a ShortKP for the Power button while in Activity/Combi Mode (in case one wants to turn off/on just the TV, leaving the STB on, for example).
And also ...

URC-7960 - macro on SmartControl button locks up device
Hi Quartermain, and sorry for the very late reply, but I've just signed in.
I have the exact same problem with my 7962 Motion (JP3).
But with my 7960 (JP1.4) the macro and activities seem to work together.
You have probably already solved your problem.
Could you tell us how?
On the 7960 I would ...

Re: Bricked URC-7962 SmartControl Motion
Hi Mike!
Thank you for your reply.
Problem solved now!
Nevertheless I am trying to reply as precisely as possible.
Are your sure, that the brick happened when pressing the power button?
I am not that young any longer so I tend not to say I am 100% sure about anything. But I remember pressing ...

Bricked URC-7962 SmartControl Motion
Hi All...!
Short story: I have "bricked" my URC-7962 SmartControl Motion after uploading many different personal configurations based on JHerrick/3FG's latest .RMRI file (which he clearly states could brick the remote...!!!). No lights when pressing any button, using fresh new batteries. But (I ...
