Recent purchase thru fleabay of $13.80 NS-RC05A-11
FYI, I purchased one of the NS remotes which is not backlit this last week from China on Ebay for the $13.80 shipped NS-RC05A-11. IT was mentioned in a vizio JP1 thread as an alternative to the Vizio VUR8 ($9.99 shipped). [I believe they are either out at that price (or have raised the price on the ...

Final 3 from 54
Wandering how many of these were purchased by JP1ers.
The price has risen a buck to $9.99 shipped. See original link.
The last 3 of originally 54 available.
Hope all have found them as useful as I have.

2 x 3 connector housing for the new end of your cable
I purchased a lot of 50 of the 2 x 3 connector headers (no pins inside). I only needed a couple.
If anyone is interested. Can sell a few at a time for postage plus 50 cents first, each additional 35 cents.
Just trying to help people out.
PM me. Sorry USA posting only and will be first class ...

Amazingly
Still amazes me the way the experts in the group volunteer their time and effort for making things "perfect." Thanks again. People, you can't buy this kinda technical support! SO THANKS TO ALL for the DEDICATION OF THEIR TIME!!!

Great News. After checking colors and function, I connected 4 of the 6 connectors directly on appropriate pins and everything seems to work great!!
I will list the new color vs old (although anyone can figure that on their own based on above and published info on the other available USB cables).

One month later....
Actually the one I purchased from Fleabay is backlit....amber. One other thing I like is "the feel." IT has a rounded back and weighed (and wider) at the bottom. So it feels decent in your hand. THe natural thumb position ends up over the Channel Up/down keys and the VOlume up/down keys. [And LAST ...

Update on <$10 cable from Fleabay via Hong Kong (shipped)
I received the cable from Fleabay today. Havent had a chance to do anything with it except verify that the red line is indeed 5 v.
I also plugged it into a laptop running win 7 ultimate. It automatically downloaded drivers for the cable without any hiccups.

VUR8 USED $8.99 shipped (Vizio)
Not sure if this is legal (and I am not the seller), but fleabay search for VUR8 has USED models for $8.99 shipped.
I purchased one, happy with the purchase. [Certainly worth the $200 DISCOUNT I got on the open box (was missing base too, but I wall mount).]
Not sure how it rates for other JP1ers ...
