CAREFUL: Looks like they (fleabay seller above) dropped the price to $6.99 but actually they added $2.99 each for shipping (before each shipped free)....so net is up a buck. Still under $10 shipped though. Down to 14 available.

Great News. After checking colors and function, I connected 4 of the 6 connectors directly on appropriate pins and everything seems to work great!!

Actually the one I purchased from Fleabay is backlit....amber. One other thing I like is "the feel." IT has a rounded back and weighed (and wider) at the bottom. So it feels decent in your hand. I received the cable from Fleabay today. Havent had a chance to do anything with it except verify that the red line is indeed 5 v.

I also plugged it into a laptop running win 7 ultimate. It automatically downloaded drivers for the cable without any hiccups.

Not sure if this is legal (and I am not the seller), but fleabay search for VUR8 has USED models for $8.99 shipped.

I purchased one, happy with the purchase. [Certainly worth the $200 DISCOUNT I got on the open box (was missing base too, but I wall mount).]
