Re: X10 mod status

3. Issues regarding not sending the house code ?

I will have to do further diagnostics, probably at a friend's house (who has full RF test gear). Any ideas?

Fred

Problem is due to no house code being sent. All OFA remotes' x10 functions are designed to send IR to an IR543, which supplies the ...

Re: LOL

You bastard! ;)
, but the wireless units get nada.
!

If you hv multiple wireless remotes, and the wireless receiver don't work, your receiver is dead. Happened to mine after a few years (forgot the partnumber; its the one with the buildin appliance relay). Easily repaired. Think the same should ...

you if it's OK to run macros, you should answer "yes" or KM's buttons won't work. If you don't see a pop-up message and the buttons don't work, it means you have your security setting too high, doesn`t explain wich security is that?? would you help me with that??

That refers to EXcel's macro ...

Thanks "sub0", the links you posted...

Well, lets thanked Robman and Johnsfine. I did nothing other than post the link, which you should have done in the first instant.

If you succeed in the upgrade, post back your results. I don't have the pioneer now. Had got the DVR220 for Cdn$299 during ...

Re: Pioneer service remote GGF1381

If you find Pronto Hex or a CCF, then people here know how to use that info for JP1 programming.
The required pronto codes hv already been posted here:

My understanding is that file only contains the service codes required to do ...

Wouldn't there be a danger of the camera controls turning on a light or something if that were the case?

Guess there would be. That was one of the peeve against the Hawkeye. People who set it to motion control a light, might find another light (one unit code higher, if I recall correctly ...

Or the pan/tilt could be on a different unit code. One of X-10's usual trick (eg on the Hawkeye motion detector) is to use a unit code that is one above or below the "normal" code set for the unit.

Try a unit code that is one or two away from the unit's set code.

The DVB318 does come on when a macro issues Play/stop. that piece seems to work.

That should be all you needed. "discrete Off" is not really needed on the LG7832/DVB318. This player turns itself OFF after 10 mins of inactivity. The screen saver comes on after the first 5 mins of inactivity ...

Have you run acorss any discrete on and discrete off commands for the player.

Unfortunately no discrete codes. All codes that work are in the file, except for a handful which just duplicates some of the ffwd/frev functions.

You'll have to try the suggestion from jon-amstrong. Let us know how ...

Mark, thank you for your suggestions.

I called LG/Zenith tech support and got no help there.

Then I compared all the EFCs from all the Zenith DVD players that I could find and located a block of unused EFCs among those that are used.

Found a code within that block which activates the Upconversion ...

LG7832 upconversion button

This is my 1st post, tho' I have been using JP1 for ~2 years now. So, first of all, thank you to all the gurus who made available all the JP1 information.

As my little contribution back to this group, I've uploaded a device file for the LG7832/Zenith DV318 DVD player and a corrected Sanyo PLV-Z2 ...
