I learned my RCA with this Pace box remote, downloaded it via IR and it informed me this is Canal Sat protocol which makes sense as it's Canal+ branded SAT receiver made by Pace.

I think there is a misprint somewhere in this. You have called both programs by the same name, IR Scope. You must surely mean something different for the LPT/Centronix program. The program actually called IR Scope does work only with the IR Widget.

I'd like to capture IR signals and for today, I see there are IR Scope (which works only with IR Widget) and Capture IR (LPT/Centronix only?)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but IR Scope is just older and If I want to capture using COM/USB interface, I should use IR Scope?

Hi,
To speedup programming of my new RCA I'd like to transmit signals I need to PC and that program RCA with them (using RM I guess).
Unfortunately it's as simple as it gets receiver. Can I use it?
