A thanks to gentzel for spotting me a cable! Thanks!

On another note, soldering used to be easy, with poor vision/depth perception now it's not so easy.

To help I bought a helping hands thing that has some clips to hold stuff and a 3" magnifying glass, it does help a lot!

A ham radio buddy gave ...

Bingo! It's not pretty and it's a pain to plug individual wires in, BUT IT WORKS!

It must've had a wire break up at the dongle end. I can get by this way, but I'd like to find a cheap 2x3 female and get a more proper cord back on the thing.

Thanks guys!

Looked the chip up and got a pin out of it, from what I can see for traces on the pcb and confirm with an ohm meter, it appears I was right for the pin hookups.

The problem seems to be that my white wire doesn't have continuity from the pcb to the end...GRRR! The cable looks looks good with no ...

Thanks guys!

I thought I might be able to take a short cut - I took the clear shrink wrap off the usb dongle end and popped the case apart, I was hoping the circuit board connections would be labeled...they are, the red wire is hooked to the R connection, the green to the G, the black to the B and ...

Hi Guys,

I have a Jp1.2/3 usb cable that's 2-3 years old. I used to use it on an XP machine.

Recently I needed to upgrade the programming in my remote so I grabbed the cable and tried to use it on my Win7 laptop.

It would try to work, flash the red/green lights, even blink the remote led ...

Hi Rob,

I believe ya, but I have no way to test it any more - I've moved on to the Atlas 5 device remotes with backlighting :D and I gave my old mil 4s away.

THANKS so much for working on this for us though, it's much appreciated!

OK, what should I do?

I just deleted the protocol and then added it in in ir and it's working fine.

Should I leave it alone (if it's not broke . . .) or should I backup and do the :2 fix?

Thanks!

Re: Atlas OCAP 3033 Black/Silver 1056ABC1-BXX-001-XXXX-XXX-R

It's like RemoteMaster is mistaken and this does need a protocol update.

Anyone have any ideas?

Quite likely you are spot on. We will know for sure once you upload your file, but we have been running into this issue where UEI started using a previously unused protocol ID that our community had ...

Unfortunately I'm headed out for the evening. Tomorrow after work I'll get some files uploaded for you all to look at.

Again, thanks for the help!

Also . . . you gotta love that ir widget reader! If you're into JP1 stuff it's a must have!!!

Take care ...

Atlas OCAP 3033 Black/Silver 1056ABC1-BXX-001-XXXX-XXX-R

Hi Guys,

I've been using some old Millenium 4 remotes for years now and I've been quite happy.

I decided to upgrade to some backlit Atlas OCAP 3033 Black remotes, battery compartment # 1056ABC1-BXX-001-XXXX-XXX-R and now I'm not so happy . . .

It had codes already for my tv and cable box. I'm ...

Hi Vicky,

You told me how to fix the number tables issue, but if I recall correctly it was actually a problem with the Millenium 4 base file RemoteMaster uses so that base file needed fixed and I don't know if that ever happened or not, I just haven't checked as following your directions I got mine ...
