Samsung LED TV Discrete Codes

I traded in my Sony TV for a Samsung TV. Now looking for discrete on/off and source codes to control my new Samsung TV.

In the past I have used a Comcast remote to teach/learn my everyday remote.

Do discrete codes exist for Samsung brand TV's? If so, could someone point me to where there at ...

Okay thanks for the explanation. I haven't made the leap to using interface cable yet. No more often then I need to program my remote I didn't want to learn any new procedure. Having said all that, is there any other easy work around for teaching my Avex R6 these two discrete commands?

Thanks,
Chris

Discrete on/off for new Sony Blu-ray player

I am in need of the discrete on/off codes for my Sony Blu-ray player, model BDP-S390/BX39. I have tried 00113 and 00109 but no luck. I am using a Comcast style programmable remote (URC1067Bx3) to teach my Avex R6 remote the discrete function. I am using setup code 20533. This work flow worked on my ...

Thanks for setting me straight.

What exactly is UEI? I thought that a Universal Remote Control is made by Universal Electronics.

Looking for feedback the URC Digital R50 remote

Hi everyone,

I know that this remotes use setup style wizard for configuration. Does anyone know if it accepts discrete codes like the comcast remotes ...

Well, your remote (which we call a Comcast 1067BX3, with signature 3039) uses 5 digit EFCs. All UEI remotes designed in the last 2 or 3 years use 5 digit EFCs. The virtue of a 5 digit as opposed to a 3 digit EFC is that more information can be incorporated.

The EFC forms part of the information ...

My TV does have a video input 7 and 8. And video 7 is one that I use for my HDMI cable. As you suspected, I wasn't able to send a discrete code for either of these inputs. Everything else that I need is available though.

I tried 11100 and then your 00024 but only got me to widescreen display. Is ...

You should be able to open this yourself, but here are the codes from that upgrade. Anything with a device of 163 you should be able to use, but there are no combo codes nor any setup codes that use device 175, so you can't implement those without a cable. If you use the lookup tool, choose Comcast ...

I'm guessing this is a cousin of the Comcast 1067Bx3 (another cable JP1.3 remote)

If I'm correct, you'll be able to create any JVC codes that use devices 3 ,31, 67, 111, 163, 239

Check your manual and see if these codes are listed for your JVC equipment.

Audio/[3] 0074 JVC 163
Audio/[3] 0331 ...

I have done more digging and the remote I use is from Insight Communications and has 2067BG3 -xxxx-xxxx-R stamped inside the battery compartment. I am assuming that my remote is URC2067BG3. Maybe someone can help me determine what remote I have.
I did some searches based on all those terms but ...

Try efc 00117 for TV

The setup code you are using JVC/0074 is a JVC device 163 code.

So from this list of source type codes. Note that the USB source uses a different device # so we can't use it with this particular setup code.

burchis, I don't think you've yet mentioned what JP1.3 remote you are using (ie, question 4 on the template). We have extensive lists that show which setup codes are in each remote, so if we can identify your remote, we can check which setup codes are in your remote because there may be some that ...
