Locking a function to work on Comcast remote
I have the Comcast 3 in 1 remote and I programmed my PIP key to the sleep function for my Philips TV. How do I make this key work without having to switch to tv mode?

I have a Samsung 5054 and a comcast 1067a remote (i believe that's the right number). Anyway, is there a way to go directly to a source on my samsung tv without having to hit the source button mulitple times?

well when I go to device manager its shows my usb serial at com1 and i also have com1 selected in IR. But it says when I try to check the interface that it does not appear to have power. I have tried the connection both ways into the remote and nothing....and the batteries are new. Thank you! Also ...

I have the JP1.2 serial cable and a serial to USB adapter since I have no serial port on my laptop. When I start ir.exe it won't find the remote for some reason and i've tried all sorts of different orders of connecting everything....is there something I am missing? I have the Samsusng 5054 and I would like to program the scrolling feature for burn in into my comcast remote 1067A. When my machine finds new hardware I have the same problem..when I point to the USB directory it says it can't find the software. I've tried the connector both ways on the remote and still nothing. Also the driver I have is the old one from 2006....should I try the new one and where is it? Grr this ...
