Tommy, I got the JP1 (EEPROM) USB cable. It worked perfectly on WinXP after loading the Delcom driver. Thanks for the great service!

Hey Rob, That page did help. Here's the fix. It certainly wasn't necessary but it worked! The LED was completely broken off when I opened the remote...

I don't know if I should create a seperate topic(s) for these so I'll start here and see how it goes....

I'm using parallel JP1 with two 8810s. I tried RMIR but had several problems. I switched versions of RMIR several times and didn't keep track of the problems I saw very well. I'm going to retry ...

Sounds good, I'll try replacing the LED if I can get the case open.

I looked at Tommy's thread yesterday and it says to send him an email before ordering. I'll post to his thread and ask if that's what he wants or if I should just PayPal him. I do have two new 8910s as backups so I'll probably try ...

Rob, I think the reset probably worked. The changes I made were overwritten. I thought I read somewhere else on the forum that that doesn't necessarily mean the reset fully worked so without the flashes I wasn't sure.

mdavej, Ok, I'll take your advise and stay with parallel. Part of the problem ...

Thanks for the reply Rob. You are correct, the remotes do work. I have three young kids so the remotes get abused but they are like tanks! I love them.

Part of the reason I wanted to do the reset was that I was trying to move from KM/IR to RMIR. I was having all kinds of issues and thought the ...

I've been using a couple of 8810s for many years. I've upgraded them many times over that time. I'd like to factory reset them but the LED's don't flash on either of them, ie. when I push any buttons, not just SET. I also tried Tommy's suggestion of removing the batteries, replaced the batteries and ...
