Thanks again, I have shared my Device upgrade here in the Files Section.

This should work with the x950H as well as similar Sony Bravia Android TVs such as the x950G, x900H, x900G, x850G, X800H, and x750H.

Awesome. Thanks so much! I will try this out.

Would you mind sharing your process for getting these codes? Also Google voice may still work as there is a microphone built into the TV as well.

Help setting up URC-8910 remote for Sony Bravia x950H

Hello,

I have a URC-8910B002 I have been using for a while and just upgraded my TV to a Sony x950H. There aren't many recent Sony Device Upgrades. The one that has the majority of functions I need is the Sony Bravia KD-X8505C .

My Sony remote model is RMF-TX500U. The Device upgrade is missing the ...

Thanks Rob,

Those are great suggestions. I was just wondering if you think there are any benefits to any of these newer remotes compared to just getting another URC8811 or URC8910 - assuming I can get one in good condition.

To me, I have not seen any newer remotes that can beat these two.

Thanks!

Just a thought. Since my cable is connected via a parallel port and is quite old, it's probably only a JP1 cable. Does this rule out any JP1.2 or JP1.3 remotes unless I get a new cable?

Thanks

replacement for URC8811 and URC8910

Hi there,

I've been programming using JP1 since 2007. My URC8811 and URC8910 remotes are getting a bit old and some buttons are not as responsive. I am thinking of upgrading them to newer remotes.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a good replacement. They control 6-7 devices each (TV ...

Sorry, haven't really worked on JP1 in a number of years. Totally forgot about code searching by pressing set then the code 000-255.

I spent the evening scanning for codes and found them. I added Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Page up, Page down, Recall Channel buttons to the upgrade file.

Thanks

I tried to use my parallel JP1 cable a couple of years ago, when I got a new Windows 10 computer. I bought a Parallel PCI card. Unfortunately I had read that it could not be done. I did give it a go with IR, but couldn't figure it out. Eventually, I just got a virtual machine running Window XP and ...

OK,

I created an RMDU and uploaded to the files section: https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=25265

I used the learning function of my URC-8910 to capture all the IR signals. It took many tries to capture each button with the same protocol, so I could easily use the ...

Yes, I had previously tried under Windows 7 and now with the new computer Windows 10. Neither worked. I always had to go with XP within a VM. If others were successful, I'd like to know.
