I know this is an old thread but I wanted to thank "vickyg2003" for the KM setup (.txt) file that is in the file area.

URC-8810B00 eBay auction

I just received a URC-8810B00 remote from this eBay auction . The seller has two left (I have no association or interest with the seller).

I purchased this because my 7-yr old URC-8811B00 is pretty worn although it's still functioning perfectly. Although the unit I received is used it is in almost ...

My Sony KV27FS100 is also slow at coming up so like gfb107 I assigned the TV input select macro's to button (M1-M4 on my URC-8811). Yes its a pain because sometimes you forget and have to hit a button after powering everything up but I don't know of a better solution.

A whole thread from earlier today, now gone, about the release of IR514. Evidently Paul decided to take his bat & ball and go home.

In a Power User account all it does is what I said before--no comments saved whatsover.
I guess it just needed me to log into the Admin account and then back to my Power User account because now its saving comments  It definitely wasn't before I logged into my Admin and back again.

Also, I ...

I don't suppose you want to try it in a non-admin account?

I just tried it on three different files and all worked fine.
Ok, some more info. I'm running it on Win2K SP4. I don't have anything connected to the parallel port as all I want to do is update/add comments to the IR file.

IR 5.10 Now Available

Nice, except that now no comments (at all) are saved to the IR file. I just added some comments for some learned keys and saved the IR file and now it contains nothing but a [Buffer] section. Fortunately I have backups.

As I said before both preview and print work despite the error.

No, do you have a copy?

Re: keymap-master v8.25 available!

Did you upgrade Excel to SP-3 since you last printed in KM 8.12?

I don't remember when I applied SP-3. The last time I used KM 8.12 was on or around 2/19/2004 and I think SP-3 preceded that.

Update: I just checked my saved patches and the timestamp on my Office 2000 SP-3.exe file is 11/19/2002 ...

Yes, its consistent--that is every time. BTW I'm on Win2K SP4.

Here's the Debug screen.

Re: keymap-master v8.25 available!

I'm having a problem with previewing/printing the "Key Map" page. I get the following error in Excel 2000 (9.0.6926 SP-3).

Run-time error '50290':

Method 'Saved' of object '_Workbook' failed

The dialog has buttons for Continure (greyed out), End, Debug and Help.

If I hit End the print preview ...

Opening the file should be a read-only operation. It should do the rename etc the first time you save a file that had been in old format.

Agreed. The new behavior is very annoying as I keep a read-only attribute on my files. The rename process still occurs in Win2k but under Win98SE it gives ...
