I may be a n00b at this, but I am also have an LG DVD Recorder, LRA-860, looking for the discrete code for the "HOME" key. preferrably the 3-digit EFC code if possible. not sure if its called a discrete key, but thats the one i need.

those EFC commands worked. no more CBL light after i press vol up/down.

Now I have 3 other remotes to figure out what the EFC volume command is for..

i used hte EFC commands to fix it so my volume key sends just a volume command and NOT a cable box command.

So I tried this, and what do you know, the digital camera sees a light shining from those little ir thingys on the top. I had no idea this was possible, did not know how it works, but think its really cool and it gave me an idea to find out if remotes are working in the future.

even if i leave it in TV mode, and turn off global volume lock, it still behaves this way, and I know its sending a command to the TV because when i go to the general settings menu -> purchase:pin ->change -> pin entry, but when i am at that screen and raise or lower the volume, it for some reason ...
